Subject: RE: YORKSHIRE ALMOST THERE From: JeZeBeL Date: 15 May 01 - 01:55 PM Mrs.Duck - after finally figuring out which weekends all the festivals are we are all going to. SAm shouldn't be away this weekend. I will try and pursuade him to come when we go pick up his accordion from the music room tomorrow. (3 reeds have gone now after holmfirth, think he'll have to take it steady!!) Micca - I can give you a lift from Selby to The Jug as I have to go through Selby first anyway. I'm not working so whenever you get in is great. I on;y live down the road so it won't take me long to get there. What do you think? Emma xxx |

Subject: RE: YORKSHIRE ALMOST THERE From: Dave Wynn Date: 12 May 01 - 08:06 PM Spots kennel will be incorporated with Daves cave. It will be clean and tidy and have a slight leak. In the event of serious rain we will be appealing to the immediate community for assistance in the form of comfort , dry area's and warmth. It should be said that I am noted for being appealing due to my big moist eyes , my soft fur and enormous wet tongue. Spot. |
Subject: RE: YORKSHIRE ALMOST THERE From: mooman Date: 12 May 01 - 05:41 PM Skipjack, At your suggestion, I'll be bringing the mandola as I don't play it nearly enough and like the sound. This has now given me a headache though. For it needs new strings and of course spares, and loopies are hard (let's say impossible) to get in Brussels. So now I have to microsurgically remove 16 balls! ...and I don't have any veterinary training whatsoever... mooman (still looking for his since Lady McMoo ran off with them) |

Subject: RE: YORKSHIRE ALMOST THERE From: Mrs.Duck Date: 11 May 01 - 03:15 PM Off to the Jug again for some more final arranging. Its amazing how many times I have to keep going there!!I'm not particularly into themed singarounds but I thought it would be nice if the Sunday lunchtime session were called 'The Parting Glass' and include as many farewells as possible without being too maudlin! I know some will still be there later in the day but a lot have to travel so I thought it would be a nice round up and you've got one week, yes, seven days to sort out a suitable song. |
Subject: RE: YORKSHIRE ALMOST THERE From: mooman Date: 11 May 01 - 11:08 AM I believe I know what Max's gift is but I'm not going to tell you! mooman (the unhelpful) |

Subject: RE: YORKSHIRE ALMOST THERE From: Les from Hull Date: 10 May 01 - 12:24 PM I'll be bringing a minidisc as well, but I may be too busy and/or drunk to use it. Did I say may? I wonder what possessed me to use that word? Les |
Subject: RE: YORKSHIRE ALMOST THERE From: Mrs.Duck Date: 09 May 01 - 02:11 PM We have a minidisc that has produced some fairly good results in sessions. Our other minor problem is the computer. My laptop has a fault on the microphone socket but I think rigging up Syd's PC in the bar might be a bit awkward. I shall have a trip to PC world or Chris Stephenson and see if it is easy to sort but if anyone else has a lap top set up for paltalk that might solve the problem. Syd has already said we can use the line so I'm hoping for an hour or so after the ceilidh on Saturday night. |
Subject: RE: YORKSHIRE ALMOST THERE From: JeZeBeL Date: 09 May 01 - 01:14 PM I better not get too drunk then or ill fall in it my self. I'm sober now by the way!! Emma xxx |
