Subject: RE: Saddleworth FF: Who's going? From: Bernard Date: 24 Jul 06 - 04:57 PM One person who won't be there is Alio - the Festival Director. She's in hospital, having had an operation to remove a diverticulosis from her intestine. She's in a lot of pain, and likely to stay in hospital for two weeks, with at least a month or two convalescence afterwards. I'm sure you will join with me in wishing her well... I expect to visit her in hospital within the next couple of days, and will report back. |

Subject: RE: Saddleworth FF: Who's going? From: John Routledge Date: 19 Jul 06 - 05:30 PM I'm with Ossonflags on this one - water water water - with Vocalzones as a psycholigical back up. Hopefully results will show at Saddleworth.:0) |

Subject: RE: Saddleworth FF: Who's going? From: ossonflags Date: 19 Jul 06 - 09:43 AM Hazel, I to suffer at this time of the year with voice problems, I have been told by very wise people it is lot to do with pollen count and that. Drinking loads of water this weather certainly helps - and did I say this? no alchohol as we all know this dehydrates you.. Also I really suffer from the "Mudgies". This year acting on advice I have been taking vitamin B complex coupled with spraying meself with "Jungle" beastie repellant and this seems to do the trick. I have been told that a skin preperation from "Avon" is the best anti midge thing going. See you at Warwick this weekend were we can compare potions. |
Subject: RE: Saddleworth FF: Who's going? From: GUEST Date: 19 Jul 06 - 09:09 AM PS - Anyone know when Eric Boggle and Scolds Bridle are playing and whether it's possible to buy tickets just for these concerts - no mention of this on the SAFRA website. Cheers F |

Subject: RE: Saddleworth FF: Who's going? From: Geoff the Duck Date: 19 Jul 06 - 03:46 AM Pisachio - make certain you don't spray the mozzies with throat lube and your siging bits wih fly repellant. We don't want mosquitos singing as they throw themselves into our beer. See you there. Quack! GtD. |

Subject: RE: Saddleworth FF: Who's going? From: Pistachio Date: 18 Jul 06 - 06:39 PM Linda Kelly and I will be there - providing the battle bus gets us safe to and from Warwick this w/end. The weather hasn't helped my throat. Anyone else suffering? Is alcohol the answer?? Or is tonic and lime the culprit. I'll have the 'vocalzones' ready and I believe I MUST bring mozzie repellant! It's my first Sadleworth - I hope it's fun. H. x. PS Lindas' PC 'ist kaput'! If you need to get in touch please feel free to PM me !!! |
