Wow, gnu, that's an interesting post.

So many things, really. Starting with getting my beautiful Italian accordion back from the shop. Did I ever tell you how incredibly beautiful and sweet that accordion sounds? And it's smooth... like butter and velvet. Practically all you have to do is sit behind it and whisper "I love you" to it, over and over, and it just about plays itself.

Then there are some other things...

Just listening to Phil Ochs singing his song When I Am Gone...talking about all of the things he won't be able to do/know when he's gone, so he guesses "I'll have to do it while I'm here."

I've seen good fairies, Spaw. The never wear wings or carry magic wands. Just do some good deed and move on. You've seen them too. Hell you've been them.

Genies are another matter - they do good things but always have a hidden agenda. Best to avoid them.

Dear Melancholy,

First you have to say "good night" to someone in your arms. Don't settle for just anyone. There should be definite mutual feelings between the both of you for a meaningful encounter, but if that's not what you are looking for I guess anyone will do.
