Subject: RE: in hospital (Stallion) From: Pistachio Date: 18 Nov 11 - 04:19 PM Heck Peter, take care and get out of there as soon as! Best wishes. I'd come and visit but don't think visiting hours fit in with this weekends' trip to Kirkby Fleetham. Still, if you need visitors I'm in your area on the 24th I believe, at Fangfoss, so may head over after work! (It's the Scot in me using the fact much of my mileage will be paid!!) I have your number! Seriously, go steady and do as you're told !! Hx |
Subject: RE: in hospital (Stallion) From: Micca Date: 18 Nov 11 - 03:55 PM Get Well, Peter! I only met you on Monday!!!! and it is much too short an acquaintanceship! |

Subject: RE: in hospital (Stallion) From: jacqui.c Date: 18 Nov 11 - 03:49 PM Lots of good thoughts coming from Maine. Kendall had a three way by-pass in February 2004 and it did him a world of good. The Auld Bugger's doing pretty well on it now. Best of luck Pete. |
Subject: RE: in hospital (Stallion) From: VirginiaTam Date: 18 Nov 11 - 03:48 PM And here I was moaning about losing my job on another thread. Can I take it back? This is a much better "pity me" thread and legitimate to boot. Do everything the docs say. Rest easy get strong. |
Subject: RE: in hospital (Stallion) From: katlaughing Date: 18 Nov 11 - 03:45 PM One of my surgeons reminded me, to them, putting in a new heart valve or doing bypass is like a mechanic changing the spark plugs or other tuning up of a car..a piece of cake, something they do everyday, whilst to us it's usually a once-in-a-lifetime thing. It's good to remember it's old hat to them. Keep up with positive looking-forward thoughts of what you will do when you get out and if the roomie starts with what my grandson calls "tragic talk" tune him out, sing, hum, whatever you have to do, don't listen to him!:-) Lots of "in the pink" health-healthy thoughts coming your way from Colorado, kat |
Subject: RE: in hospital (Stallion) From: ClaireBear Date: 18 Nov 11 - 03:26 PM Warm, healthy-heart thoughts are wending their relaxed way to you from California, Peter (wouldn't do to get too excited). Keep calm and carry on... Affectionately, Claire |

Subject: RE: in hospital (Stallion) From: stallion Date: 18 Nov 11 - 03:21 PM Thanks to you all , really makes an enormous difference. Yes I have been overdoing it a bit. Waiting for the cardiologist , the slaves tell me a bypass is on the cards , oh shit! |
Subject: RE: in hospital (Stallion) From: Mysha Date: 18 Nov 11 - 03:14 PM Oh, Contorted! (The Dutch doesn't translate very well, does it? (-:) And here I was thinking: "He shouldn't drive back all the way to Yorkshire in the night; it's not healthy." Maybe I should have insisted. )-: I'm not very good at this well-wishing business, but you take some good nights' rest to begin with, and in the meantime I'll see if I can support that Roganising Committee, to get you out of there in no time. Mysha |

These new phones with internet access are both infuriating and wonderful. A tad pissed off but hey best foot forward. Didn't help listening to the guy in the next bed telling the consultant that his wife died during a bypass opp! Cheery little story |
