Subject: RE: Faldingworth Session on 14/06/08 UK From: Rasener Date: 25 Feb 08 - 08:07 AM You are very welcome to join the session with your piano Rockhen. So look forward to seeing you and you will be made very welcome. Is Jacqui going to come along and play her concertina? |
Subject: RE: Faldingworth Session on 14/06/08 UK From: Rasener Date: 25 Feb 08 - 03:23 AM >>Jacqui plays concertina<< Well there you go, I could have sworn that one of you played melodeon. Les gets his coat and gives the optician a visit. |
Subject: RE: Faldingworth Session on 14/06/08 UK From: Rockhen Date: 24 Feb 08 - 06:51 PM PS If anyone has strong feelings either way, about my post above, please PM me as I feel it is not the subject of the thread, so should probably be discussed elsewhere. I wish all who are involved with organising and/or those who go to the session, all the best. Let the thread continue re the original subject, as intended, lol! |
Subject: RE: Faldingworth Session on 14/06/08 UK From: Rockhen Date: 24 Feb 08 - 06:05 PM Jacqui plays concertina, Villan. I should have remembered re the piano as I did know it had gone when the new stage and PA arrived. I do know you don't have a problem with piano. I have been playing Ray Charles and Jerry Lee tonight with the GBs as it happens, along with some rusty (the playing, not the instrument!) saxophone! There are a few months before the session anyway. My gripe is not with you re using my electric piano, Villan, so apologies in return...it is elsewhere that I am met with negativity re electric piano being considered acceptable to be played as a replacement for a traditional one. All the best for the session and will check the thread again! |
Subject: RE: Faldingworth Session on 14/06/08 UK From: Rasener Date: 24 Feb 08 - 03:58 PM Now when was the last time you came to Faldingworth Rockhen? The piano is no longer - it is extinct - as dead as a parrot. Look at the photo's of Jez & Kate and you will see that the piano has been replaced with the PA cupboards No Piano :-) Apologies. You are correct it is the piano Accordian you play - just testing you :-) hrummppphhh. Is it Jacqui that plays the melodeon? I guess all I can say, is let me sort out who will be the master of ceremonies and we can try and see if it is possible. You know I don't have a problem with piano. A touch of Jerry Lee Lewis or Little Richard would go down great :-) |
Subject: RE: Faldingworth Session on 14/06/08 UK From: Rockhen Date: 24 Feb 08 - 03:42 PM I don't play it and I far prefer my piano to the piano accordion that I do play, as I am much better on the piano. But...bring my electric piano? yeah right, I know there is a piano at Faldingworth but it isn't that great...erm...am I being unfair at assuming there may now follow a silent tumbleweed moment.............................? |
Subject: RE: Faldingworth Session on 14/06/08 UK From: Rasener Date: 24 Feb 08 - 03:19 PM Whats wrong with Rockhen playing melodeon? |

Subject: RE: Faldingworth Session on 14/06/08 UK From: Tim Leaning Date: 23 Feb 08 - 04:34 PM Well If I not carefull I will be hiding it in one of my body cavities. LOL I heard from Rockhen her computer playing up so thought Hmmmm I think if she could go she would prefer to play piano so I asked. |

Subject: Faldingworth Session on 14/06/08 UK From: Rasener Date: 21 Feb 08 - 01:12 PM After the success of the sessions held on prior years at Faldingworth in Lincolnshire, the Chairman of Faldingworth Memorial Hall asked me if it was possible to have another one on Saturday June 14th 2008. The session would be in the Village Hall from 1:00pm to 5:00pm and there would be a BBQ outside and a bar. The hall can hold 100 people, so plenty of room for a mammoth session :-) It would be really nice if we can get this up and running. Any takers? We would have to stop at 5 as we have a concert in the evening with Allan Taylor and will need to prepare for that. Tickets can be reserved in advance for that - tickets £7. Look forward to hearing from you session players. Incidentally the villagers really enjoyed the past ones. Cheers Les Worrall http://www.faldingworthlive.co.uk |
