Subject: RE: Eurogathering 2010 in Iceland ? From: Midchuck Date: 11 Mar 08 - 11:50 AM A red-letter day. Yesterday my wife gave her principal formal notice that she would not return next year, at least as a regular scheduled classroom teacher. Which will free us up for travel, a great part of the year. No more fighting the crowds on school vacations. She came home and told me this as I was reading the Mudcat. I asked, "Do you want to go to Iceland in 2010?" She blinked once and said, yes. Incidentally, Iceland is one of only 4 foreign countries I've ever been in, in my 66+ years. The others were England, Scotland and Canada. And I didn't get to any of them except Canada 'till I was nearly 60. Unfortunately, both times I was in Iceland consisted of waiting in the airline terminal for a couple of hours for a plane change. Maybe I can do better. Peter. |
