Subject: RE: Miskin at Easter 2006 From: My guru always said Date: 12 Apr 06 - 06:18 AM For goodness sake, don't unpack your wellies - that's tempting fate that is!! No probs Don, but injuries can be self-inflicted on hands with chainsaws - ever tried sharpening the blades? Glad it's not hurting too much but we'll have spare plasters anyway. See you tomoorow tea-time :-) Breton Cap - hope all from the labouring gang will have enough energy to enjoy Miskin to the full, if not, perhaps we could set up a 'runner system' to the bar for you *grin* |

Subject: RE: Miskin at Easter 2006 From: Seaking Date: 12 Apr 06 - 03:51 AM Had a small 'moment' yesterday when discovered both front springs broken on otherwise reliable motor. Subject: RE: Miskin at Easter 2006 From: GUEST,Scooby Doo Date: 12 Apr 06 - 03:49 AM Don, They will be setting up tomorrow so you wont get any food at the festival at lunchtime but there is a pub just up the road in the village which you pass getting to the festival who does food.Tesco's are further down the dual carriageway in Talbot Green. Subject: RE: Miskin at Easter 2006 From: Don(Wyziwyg)T Date: 12 Apr 06 - 03:41 AM Looking at my last post, it came out sounding a bit petulant. It was meant to be a joke. The upside is I woke this morning with no pain, in fact I've had papercuts that hurt more. Roll on tomorrow! Breafast somewhere on the M4, while they get finished with the morning rush hour, then lunch at Miskin, hopefully. I can't recall ever having looked forward to a festival more. I'm sure it will be the best. See you all there Don T. |

Subject: RE: Miskin at Easter 2006 From: Don(Wyziwyg)T Date: 11 Apr 06 - 07:32 PM I shall be running a small workshop session about the perils inherent in placing too much trust in the person at the trigger end of a chain saw. You didn't really think it was possible to tag your hand while operating the thing, did you? Sheesh! Don T. |

Subject: RE: Miskin at Easter 2006 From: My guru always said Date: 11 Apr 06 - 06:10 PM What day did you say you were on the roads Richard? Sorry to hear you've gummed up your chainsaw Don, next time a little oil should do the trick, not blood! *oozing sympathy, no really, I am!!* MiskinMan, are you sure it was a good idea to pass around all those leaflets about Miskin? |
Subject: RE: Miskin at Easter 2006 From: GUEST,Richard Bridge Date: 11 Apr 06 - 05:57 PM Shoud I bring my chainsaw then in order to facilitate checking (or dismantling the kit of parts)? |

Subject: RE: Miskin at Easter 2006 From: The Barden of England Date: 11 Apr 06 - 03:35 PM Blimey Don - almost ended up like Paul Hurst then - one finger gone! Of course I'll try and help out - can't guarantee the sobriety mind you. Stopping on the way down as I won't be able to get away until mid-day, by which time I suspect I'll need a parking permit for the dreaded M25. However, will be at Miskin by about 9:30 am on Friday. John Barden |
Subject: RE: Miskin at Easter 2006 From: GUEST,RIchard Bridge Date: 11 Apr 06 - 03:01 PM Don T what very bad luck, or were you hoping to start again as a gipsy jazz guitarist? Jeff can of course accompany anything, but how many pints it will cost you I don't know! If you need help manhandling the van you can count on me as soon as I get there. |
Subject: RE: Miskin at Easter 2006 From: Don(Wyziwyg)T Date: 11 Apr 06 - 01:09 PM A losing argument with the nasty end of a chain saw has left me with a stitched up left hand, so you will all be seeing the unaccompanied Don T., thereby preventing exposure of my mediocre guitar playing......Ho Hum! Perhaps I might prevail on the very accomplished John Barden to step in as my impromptu backing for some songs? Don T. |
Subject: RE: Miskin at Easter 2006 From: Andy Jackson Date: 11 Apr 06 - 10:49 AM HELP WITH TRANSPORT HOME. It hasn't even started and I'm trying to get rid of people!!! Had a phone call this afternoon from Tracey Curtis. She has discovered that trains don't want to play on Easter Sunday or Monday so needs a lift home... Tracey lives in Ammanford. Is there any kind soul travelling back that way late Sunday or even Monday who can offer a lift. Ammanford is sort of North of Swansea. I hope someone will be able to offer as I am really looking forward to hearing Tracey. Andy |
