Subject: RE: Miskin at Easter 2006 From: The Barden of England Date: 17 Mar 06 - 10:45 AM Hi Linda - - Yes it does look like Kent's going to be empty at Easter doesn't it. It'll be good to see you again, and I ain't seen that old reprobate Don T for a while. What with Richard Bridge and Capella too (and maybe Jeff the great)it's going to be quite a home from home. I'll be thinking of absent friends too mind you. John Barden |

Subject: RE: Miskin at Easter 2006 From: MBSLynne Date: 17 Mar 06 - 02:44 AM Spare cash Hils? That's about as likely as spare chocolate! I've heard people say that things were almost inaudible before and I tend to agree with Andy! What is inaudible to you is often a continual noise which will drive me insane! Love Lynne |
Subject: RE: Miskin at Easter 2006 From: Andy Jackson Date: 16 Mar 06 - 07:12 PM Don - Email sent 20:43 this eve. I agree with your sentiments about retirment just about gives me time to organise Miskin. (Note to self: Watch out diet - another chocolate egg on the way, thanks Scoob) |
Subject: RE: Miskin at Easter 2006 From: GUEST,Scooby Date: 16 Mar 06 - 06:25 PM For your benefit Miskin Man the chocolates are different than i won in the raffle last night!!!.I thought about you having them but thought better you can have a traditional egg from me. Scooby |
Subject: RE: Miskin at Easter 2006 From: Don(Wyziwyg)T Date: 16 Mar 06 - 06:16 PM Thanks Richard, I expect Andy will contact me to expand on "Wyzi is sorted", sounds as tho' he has the answer. I tend to share your misgivings about Calor, and paraffin can be hard to live with in confined spaces. Look forward to seing the friends I know, and those I have yet to make. Isn't retirement great. I never was able to get there before. Don T. |
Subject: RE: Miskin at Easter 2006 From: Richard Bridge Date: 16 Mar 06 - 06:10 PM It is almost inaudible when running. |

I'll collect it & pass it on...... (to the many winners in the raffle). And don't forget to bring all that luvly spare cash for your raffly tickets :-) |
Subject: RE: Miskin at Easter 2006 From: Mrs.Duck Date: 16 Mar 06 - 05:20 PM Sorry, Terri, don't understand. What is 'spare chocolate'?? |
Subject: RE: Miskin at Easter 2006 From: Richard Bridge Date: 16 Mar 06 - 05:06 PM Don, I will have a 750 watt generator with me - if I can get there. There is a slightly delicate problem about getting Jeff there, it seems, but if he stays home at least it will save me a dogsitter! I also have a large paraffin and several calor gas bottle heaters, but that may be a bit risky in a carryingvan! |
Subject: RE: Miskin at Easter 2006 From: Andy Jackson Date: 16 Mar 06 - 04:19 PM Turn off the heating - Chocolates all round and one of my famous hugs!! |
Subject: RE: Miskin at Easter 2006 From: Morticia Date: 16 Mar 06 - 04:01 PM well Andy, if you could just sort out World Hunger and Global Warming now, that would be lovely. |
Subject: RE: Miskin at Easter 2006 From: Andy Jackson Date: 16 Mar 06 - 03:57 PM I don't believe Scooby, she won them in the raffle last night!! Tee hee |
Subject: RE: Miskin at Easter 2006 From: Andy Jackson Date: 16 Mar 06 - 03:49 PM Wyzi is sorted . Next problem please!! |
Subject: RE: Miskin at Easter 2006 From: Morticia Date: 16 Mar 06 - 03:45 PM Last year I forgot the tent completely Hils, so if people could bring spare pegs, rope, erm.......tent, beds, sleeping bags.....chocolate ( just slipped that in to see if you were paying attention *G*) then we should be all set! |
Subject: RE: Miskin at Easter 2006 From: My guru always said Date: 16 Mar 06 - 03:40 PM Hey Don, it'll be good to see/hear you again! We'll be with our van but I have to say the 'normal' site for Vans at Miskin has no hook-ups. There may be something that Andy can suggest under the circumstances, so don't despair, I'm sure he'll be along soon & answer your query! Scooby: So glad you'll be on Parade, and complete with rafle prize - well done Girlie! Morti: Shall we bring some spare tent-pegs & heavy-duty rope? |
Subject: RE: Miskin at Easter 2006 From: Don(Wyziwyg)T Date: 16 Mar 06 - 02:31 PM I shall be there with my wife, providing that I can get a pitch with electric hookup, either at the main site, or at a commercial park within reach. If I can't use the heater in my van, my wife's arthritis renders her immobile on cold days. Any information on the subject would be most welcome. We plan to arrive on the Thursday and leave on Tuesday morning. For those I haven't met, look out for the big toothless lump with "Wysiwyg" across the scratchplate of his guitar. Don T. |
Subject: RE: Miskin at Easter 2006 From: Scooby Doo Date: 16 Mar 06 - 10:15 AM I have just been online and found some tidy chocolates for the raffle. Not long now before we all meet up again. Scooby. |
Subject: RE: Miskin at Easter 2006 From: Andy Jackson Date: 16 Mar 06 - 05:35 AM To Richard Bridge and everyone else in general. As per usual the Mill Site is only available to us from Thursday late afternoon and has to be vacated by midmorning MONDAY This is more important than ever this year as there are a group of Scouts arriving Monday afternoon!!!!! The proper caravan and campsite 400 yards up the road will be available Thursday and you can stay here until TUSDAY. A much better bet if you can walk 400 yards. Although this is clear on the fliers I must write something similar on the website. Oh by the way the website is constantly being updated with more artist info so keep an eye on it. Another point while I'm chatting. If you have nmade links to Miskin on your site it would help if they pointed to the main title page as there is lots of info there that I don't repeat every year, also access to old pictures that you would not know about if you came in the back door. Ta See you all soon. Andy |
Subject: RE: Miskin at Easter 2006 From: Morticia Date: 16 Mar 06 - 05:35 AM Yes, Jillie, we are braving the elements ( otherwise known as the lovely beer in the bar) and doing the tent thing this year.......perhaps not too near the river, this time? |
Subject: RE: Miskin at Easter 2006 From: GUEST,Eye Lander Date: 16 Mar 06 - 02:24 AM Morty, you've not ordered bunks, will we be having a refrain of 'Tent goes up, Tent comes down'? Jillie |
Subject: RE: Miskin at Easter 2006 From: Richard Bridge Date: 15 Mar 06 - 02:05 PM I may be stoopid but what (if one books) is the earliest one can get onsite with a carrying-van? |
Subject: RE: Miskin at Easter 2006 From: pixieofdoom Date: 15 Mar 06 - 11:22 AM Ah yes........Jack. I don't wish to alarm anyone but the last I heard he was trying to commandeer a tank and possibly some form of aircraft. He does love Miskin I'm afraid |
Subject: RE: Miskin at Easter 2006 From: Catherine Jayne Date: 14 Mar 06 - 07:35 PM Thank you for offering to look after Micca, Terri!! I'm sure he will behave himself, and if he doesn't I ma sure I will find out *Evil Grin*!!! Micca could bring Jolene with him if you are missing Jack?... Wish I could be there with you all......prehaps next year.... |
Subject: RE: Miskin at Easter 2006 From: Morticia Date: 14 Mar 06 - 06:39 PM Is Micca allowed out on his own?? Well, no, we all know that and since his missus will not be present, I spose it falls upon me to keep the evil old scote in check. After all, I've been attempting it the best part of forty years, I must have something right by now...possibly...( sigh). I'm just grateful I prolly won't have Jack to deal with as well. |
Subject: RE: Miskin at Easter 2006 From: My guru always said Date: 14 Mar 06 - 03:14 PM Well done Nigel - that's a chocolatey raffle prize you owe me *grin* |
