Subject: RE: Lyr Req: The River Was Dry From: Peace Date: 10 Jun 07 - 01:39 PM [1] I went to the river but the river was dry. The dust rolled up into my eyes. I was blinded by the stars so [deep (blue?)] That I may lose my soul to keep. [2] So come and stand in that river, current gentle and slow. Send your troubles down water down on that water's flow. [3] When you stand in that river, angels sing in your head/hand(?) (word here I can't make out--might be 'and' pronounced 'end')it's beyond ev'ry worry, dreams beyond ev'ry bend [Repeat part 2 twice.] |
Subject: RE: Lyr Req: The River Was Dry From: Jim Dixon Date: 10 Jun 07 - 12:37 PM I listened to that mp3 file, but I could only make out snatches of the lyrics. Maybe somebody else can fill in the gaps, or correct my errors. Googling with some phrases from this song didn't turn up anything relevant: [1] I went to the river but the river was dry. The dust rolled up into my eyes. I was blinded by the ... so deep That I may lose ... soul to keep. [2] So come and stand in that river, current gentle and slow. Send your troubles ... down on that water's flow. [3] When you stand in that river, angels sing in your ... ... beyond ev'ry worry, dreams beyond ev'ry ... [Repeat part 2 twice.] |
