Subject: Shanties in Liverpool !! From: Liverpool Jack Date: 18 Oct 07 - 05:01 PM Great news - after many months of pressure and pleading the funding has been made available for a Shanty Festival in Liverpool in 2008, 18-21 July when the Tall Ships race comes to town. Huge thanks to everyone who helped - it's clear that the authorities were persuaded by the worldwide flood of support and outrage. We'll set up a new website with festival details and post the web address here in due course. Jack |
