I'll be at the Starry Plough Irish Pub, in Berkeley, for the session this Sunday, 8pm. Irish singer Shay Black runs the session. You might know of him through his long association with Stan Hugill, as a member of Stormalong John, in the early 80's. The pub is at the South end of Berkeley, corner of Prince and Shattuck streets, a few blocks South of Ashby Ave. There'll be an opporetunity for you to sing there, as Shay calls on singers during the session. I play fiddle and sing at the session, and there's time to take breaks and hang out. If by any chance you'll be in the bay area Saturday night, come to the chantey sing aboard Balclutha, at Hyde Street Pier, San Francisco, 8pm to midnight. 415-561-7171. Chanteyranger |
