Does anyone have the original gospel publication by Brumley? It is sometimes difficult to find the original booklets.

I would like to verify which are Bartlett's original words.

Lyr. Add: There'll Be Shouting On the Hills
Words and Music, E. M. Bartlett; pub. A. E. Brumley, c. 1920

1
What a happy time is coming, when we reach our home in Heaven,
And the burdens which we bore, We'll bear no more,
When the angels sound the trumpet, Drawing us to those bright mansions,
There'll be shouting on the everlasting shore.

Chorus-
There'll be shouting on the hills of Glory,
Shouting (on the hills), yes, shouting (on the hills)
When we reach that land of which we heard the story,
There'll be shouting on the hills of God.

2
On that blessed and happy morning, when old friends are reunited,
And with all our loved ones we will see again,
In that happy land eternal, We will live in joy supernal,
And with Jesus o'er his angels ever reign.

(Repeat Chorus three times)

I am not sure of the original words by E. M. Bartlett; every singer has somewhat different words or verses.
An early recording was by The Blue Ridge Quartet, which I have not found.
Lyrics by Carter and Ralph Stanley were posted in thread 34552 by Quincy, 20 May 01.

Lyr. Add: Shouting on the Hills

There'll be shouting on the Hills of Glory
Shouting on the Hills- Shouting on the Hills
When we reach that land of which we've heard the story
There'll be Shouting on the Hills of God.

There's a happy time a coming when we reach our home in Heaven
When the burdens that we've bore we'll bear no more.
When old Gabriel sounds his trumpet calling us to those bright mansions
There'll be shouting on the everlasting shore.

There'll be Shouting on the Hills of Glory
Shouting on the Hills - Shouting on the Hills
When we reach that land of which we've heard the story
There'll be shouting on the Hills of God.

When the saints begin to gather round the throne in that blessed city
And the angel choir the song of praise outpours
Harps of gold will then be ringing, Saints of all the ages singing
Such a meeting like we've never seen before.

There'll be shouting (shouting)
Shouting (shouting)
Shouting (shouting) - Shouting

There'll be shouting on the Hills of Glory
Shouting on the Hills - Shouting on the Hills
When we reach that land of which we've heard the story
There'll be shouting on the Hills of God
Shouting on the Hills
Shouting on the Hills
Of God.

Shouting On the Hills
---------------------------

Lyr. Add: Shoutin' on the Hills

There'll be shoutin' on the hills of Glory
Shouting on the hills - shouting on the hills
When we reach that land of which we've heard the story
There'll be shouting on the hills of God.

Oh, what a blessed reunion
Oh, what a blessed reunion
When we gather over yonder
There'll be shouting on the hills of God

No more sorrow in that city
No more sorrow in that city
Jesus prepared a place in heaven
There'll be shouting on the hills of God.

Now is the time to make your preparations
Now is the time to make your preparations
So stop and make your reservation
There'll be shouting on the hills of God.

Chorus-
First verse serves as a chorus.

Shoutin'
