Subject: Brother Crow @ Kirkby Fleetham, 24/01/09 From: Brother Crow Date: 12 Jan 09 - 06:05 AM Brother Crow will be at Kirkby Fleetham Folk Club on Saturday 24th January 2009. This will be our first headline gig of the new year, as we've been taking a short break to work on some new material. One or two of the songs have been performed in public before, but have never been part of our set, so this will probably be your first chance to hear songs such as Once There Were So Few (winner of best song at Durham Traditional Music Festival), Between the Forest and the Shore, They Were Only Young Men, Fighting to Be Free, Resurection Dance, Dreams of Flight, The Shoemakers Wife, Cold and more... Andy's Seven String Acoustic Guitar will finally be making an appearance and Graeme will showing off the new piano on 3 or 4 songs. Don't worry though, we'll still be playing plenty of the "old favs" as well, so if there's anything you particularly want to hear, let us know... Kathryn Davidson and Dan Walsh will be the support for the night - we've heard good things about them, so why not come along and support this fine folk club... Graeme and Andy, Brother Crow. |
