Subject: the royal ipod - here's our chance From: GUEST,leeneia Date: 02 Apr 09 - 12:41 PM Consumer Reports reported this today: Queen scores an iPod from Obama Turns out Queen Elizabeth II is more of a techie than we might have imagined. At least President Obama had better hope she is, since he just presented her with an Apple iPod. The BBC reports: "President Obama has given the Queen an iPod during their private meeting at Buckingham Palace. It contains footage of her state visit to the US in May 2007. The Queen has given the president a silver framed photograph of herself and her husband. The official picture is what she gives all visiting dignitaries." He has apparently also given her a songbook signed by Richard Rodgers. Is an iPod a better gift for a foreign dignitary than a box set of DVDs? What kind of music will the queen upload to it? And who knew Obama had such a penchant for giving electronics as gifts? =================== What kind of music will the Queen upload to it? Indeed! British catters, now's your chance to bring British trad to the fore! |
