Museum From: Mark Powell Date: 04 Jan 10 - 11:38 AM I hope it's OK to advertise this event here: Performance: Alquimia - Pre-Hispanic Mexican Music and Dance Friday 15th January 2010, 18.30 BP Lecture Theatre, British Museum (doors open 18:00) £5, concessions £3 As part of its Moctezuma Exhibition, the British Museum is presenting a concert featuring Mexican-born sonic innovator Alquimia singing in languages including Nahuatl, the pre-hispanic language of Mexico, accompanied by dancers and projections. Alquimia is a classically-trained singer whose style mixes her voice with samples, electronics, ethnic percussion and other instruments.
