Sung memorably by Mary-Ann Carolan and revived (not quite so memorably?) by the Silly Sisters. Check it out on the Roud Index or even the Ballad List. It continued to be printed on broadsides over 3 centuries and a 78 of an Irish version 'Three Lovely lasses from Bannion' was recorded by Delia Murphy. |
