Subject: Lyr Add: FERRY 'CROSS THE MERSEY (Gerry/Pacemakers From: Jeri Date: 20 Aug 99 - 10:52 AM Swiped from (a href=http://www.geocities.com/SunsetStrip/Palms/6315/ferryl.txt>here FERRY 'CROSS THE MERSEY Gerry and the Pacemakers Life goes on day after day Hearts torn in every way So ferry 'cross the Mersey 'Cause this land's the place I love And here I'll stay People they rush everywhere Each with their own secret care So ferry 'cross the Mersey And always take me there The place I love People around every corner They seem to smile and say We don't care what your name is boy We'll never turn you away So I'll continue to say Here I always will stay So ferry 'cross the Mersey' Cause this land's the place I love And here I'll stay And here I'll stay Here I'll stay |
Subject: Ferry Cross the Mersey From: JedMarum Date: 20 Aug 99 - 10:39 AM I know this is not a traditional folk song, but it a great song none-the-less, and has the makings of a good folk song. Jerry and the Pacemakers recorded this song back in the late 60's. It may even have a different name then the one by which I've listed it - I have searched many a website using this name as the title, and come up empty. Any help locating lyrics for this song?? Anyone remember it ... or is my age showing?? |
