Subject: ADD: Apples, Apples, Apples (Dennis Day) From: GUEST,Memo Rosales Date: 21 Dec 24 - 09:54 PM Apples, Apples, Apples (Dennis Day) Apples, apples, apples are fun to eat. Apples, apples, apples are a great big treat. Cortland and Jonathan, and by gosh, Golden, Delicious, and MacIntosh. Apples, apples, apples are nice to munch At breakfast time or supper and for lunch. Winesap and Baldwin, Rome and Star, People like apples whoever they are. Spoken: Then there’s apple strudel, apple sauce, apple cake and apple pie, Apple cider, apple juice, apple rings and my oh my, Apples baked and apples fried, apples on a stick for you, Apple butter, apple jelly, scalloped apples, fritters too… Sung: Apples, apples, apples are fun to eat. Instrumental interlude, then: Apples, apples, apples are fun to eat. |
Subject: RE: Lyr Req: Apples, Apples, Apples (Dennis Day) From: GUEST,Bryan O Date: 28 Jul 12 - 08:27 PM Hello, The song you are looking for is "Apples, Apples, Apples" also by Dennis Day. I recently posted it on youtube, so it's all there. The 45 I own has a couple of deep scratches so there's a skip or two. Enjoy! www.youtube.com/watch?v=Avi95ONbzeM |
Subject: Lyr Req: Apples, Apples, Apples (Dennis Day) From: Peter T. Date: 17 Dec 11 - 08:13 PM Here's a puzzle. There was a record back in the 50s about Johnny Appleseed (associated with the Disney Melody Time movie about JA) narrated by Dennis Day. A song on the record went something like: ....Cortland and Jonathan, and by gosh, Golden, Delicious and Macintosh... Apples, Apples, apples are fun to munch, For breakfast time and dinner and for lunch. I'm interested in the full lyrics of the song, but it is not the same as "The Apple Song" in the movie, and this other song doesn't appear in the movie. There seems to be no other record of it anywhere. I don't think I dreamed it. Help. Peter T. |
