Subject: RE: Fiveways Folk Club, Bournemouth UK From: stallion Date: 09 Dec 12 - 10:02 AM Nah! I don't offend easily (what with a voice like mine!) yes the viagra song! |
Subject: RE: Fiveways Folk Club, Bournemouth UK From: GUEST,Bog Al Whittle Date: 09 Dec 12 - 04:03 AM Stallion - you have my profound apologies. I have offended you. Not intended. just me and my basically foul personality wreaking havoc in human relationships as i traverse life's highway. Horsie keep your tail up! ( a song my Grandmother used to sing, which has a message for us all.) |
Subject: RE: Fiveways Folk Club, Bournemouth UK From: stallion Date: 09 Dec 12 - 03:39 AM oh that is really funny Al, cracking sides funny, I never ever considered myself a member of the folk police, not even a special constable. Kissing someone else's arse is one thing but kissing your own shouldn't be tried! I was going to launch into a diatribe about what the problems are with "folk" music but I think it is enough to say that some of the concert clubs singers nights can be like one of the worst episodes of Xfactor and should not be seen by anyone new to the Genre! Good luck to all and enjoy your gigs, no offence was intended merely guidance through the minefield of egos. |

Subject: RE: Fiveways Folk Club, Bournemouth UK From: SunrayFC Date: 07 Dec 12 - 10:29 PM Thanx Al....for those that don't know Al and I have formed a band.... "Bob et Al" |
Subject: RE: Fiveways Folk Club, Bournemouth UK From: GUEST,Big Al Whittle Date: 07 Dec 12 - 07:37 PM Hoisted by your own petard! (by gum! that hurts) Bob you have been exposed in a blatant attempt to interest people in attending a folk music event. Theres no excuse for that sort of thing! Folk music is the music ofthe common people, and Bob Kirkpatrick is not actually common - more sort of rough..... |
Subject: RE: Fiveways Folk Club, Bournemouth UK From: stallion Date: 07 Dec 12 - 06:30 PM That's what I thought you just forgot the " " and attributed it like ....David Kidman, Folk Roots 2010. Hell I didn't think for a moment you had written it yourself! |
Subject: RE: Fiveways Folk Club, Bournemouth UK From: SunrayFC Date: 07 Dec 12 - 02:28 PM Hey, I didn't write it...... |
Subject: RE: Fiveways Folk Club, Bournemouth UK From: GUEST,Hootenanny Date: 07 Dec 12 - 12:21 PM The title of Eric Syke's autobiography comes to mind; "If I don't write it, nobody else will". Hoot |
Subject: RE: Fiveways Folk Club, Bournemouth UK From: stallion Date: 07 Dec 12 - 12:02 PM lol nothing wrong with us. It is really heartening when someone gives you a really good review...but..... |
Subject: RE: Fiveways Folk Club, Bournemouth UK From: SunrayFC Date: 07 Dec 12 - 07:02 AM What is it with you guys? Have you no home to go to? |
Subject: RE: Fiveways Folk Club, Bournemouth UK From: stallion Date: 07 Dec 12 - 06:37 AM ooo and I forgot my monica, Peter 'Stallion' Outhart ( ooo that has a ring to it and no it isn't advertising anything!) |
Subject: RE: Fiveways Folk Club, Bournemouth UK From: stallion Date: 07 Dec 12 - 06:34 AM mmmmmm I meant Kidman, he got a very public roasting for doing something similar although I understand that both Bob and Dave were merely publicising gigs to get bums on seats for the clubs one really must be a bit careful about the wording ;o) |
Subject: RE: Fiveways Folk Club, Bournemouth UK From: stallion Date: 07 Dec 12 - 06:30 AM Eat your heart out Dave Kinman! well spotted Andy |
Subject: RE: Fiveways Folk Club, Bournemouth UK From: Crane Driver Date: 07 Dec 12 - 06:27 AM Nothing wrong with using Mudcat to publicise your own gigs, Bob, but from the above, some people might not be aware that Mudcatter SunrayFC and performer Bob Kirkpatrick are one and the same person. Have a good gig. Andrew "Crane Driver" McKay |
