Subject: RE: Help: Best of British From: Barbara Date: 05 Nov 99 - 05:35 PM I saw that in your previous post about that song, Bruce. Thanks for the reminder. Being a crass modernist, I want John Tams' words -- too -- and I want the UK CD whereupon they are, along with a bunch of other John Tams words. I already picked the old words up from you on the "John Tams Sharpes Rifles" thread. (Aug. 23, 1998) Thanks. Blessings, Barbara |
Subject: RE: Help: Best of British From: Bert Date: 05 Nov 99 - 03:08 PM I want some jam tart baking tins. All you can get over here are muffin tins which are much too deep for good ol' English jam tarts. |
Subject: RE: Help: Best of British From: Bruce O. Date: 05 Nov 99 - 02:52 PM The complete original (1706) of "Over the Hills and Far Away", with tune, is in Scarce Songs 2 at www.erols.com/olsonw |
Subject: RE: Help: Best of British From: Barbara Date: 05 Nov 99 - 02:47 PM I have been itching for some of Anne Lister's CDs (I have Flame in Avalon) and for that Sharpe's Rifle CD, "Over the Hills and Far Away", and would fork over some US dollars for the same. Blessings, Barbara |
Subject: Best of British From: Llanfair Date: 05 Nov 99 - 09:21 AM I want to contribute to the Mudcat coffers, but I don't use credit cards, and debit ones are no use. What I thought was, are there any items that are distinctly British, or Welsh, that would be easy and cheap to send by snail-mail to Max for auction? I thought of CD's of Welsh Male Voice Choirs, or flags, or a copy of "A photographer in mid wales" which has pictures of where I live from a hundred years ago. any ideas? Hwyl, Bron. |
