Subject: RE: Diggle Blues Festival From: reggie miles Date: 12 Jun 18 - 05:47 PM After playing primarily acoustic for 3+ decades, I've just started exploring the joys of playing plugged in. But I have no desire to crank up the volume to that level. I merely enjoy hearing the nuances that I can create clearly and I enjoy sharing the same with others. |
Subject: RE: Diggle Blues Festival From: GUEST Date: 11 Jun 18 - 09:38 AM I went to the Band Club Sat night (been there previous years) but had to leave at the interval, the band were good, but way too loud. The sound pressure levels must have been at dangerous decibel levels, in fact my right ear is still ringing 3 days later! I bet their amp settings (in particular the bass) were set as if they were playing an arena. Perhaps there should be more acoustic (American or not) blues players re Reggie Miles post? |
Subject: RE: Diggle Blues Festival From: GUEST Date: 09 Jun 18 - 12:13 PM I don't know, perhaps you could go on the Diggle Blues Festival website and enquire. |
