The March 2019 Press Room Shanty, Forebitter, and Foc's'l Ballad Session which would have been this Saturday, March 16th is CANCELLED.

All future monthly shanty singarounds at The Press Room are CANCELLED until further notice.

Chris Greiner, the managing partner -- who did NOT notify me before the February sing -- emailed me after last month's sing (which was cancelled, but drew 40+ participants and listeners, so anagement put us upstairs) that he would like to meet with me to avoid any future "miscommunication"... It's not so much miscommunication as total LACK of communication.

I've emailed...left messages on his cell (when I could -- his voicemail was full for a week)...told him just set a date and time (I basically kept my schedule clear for three weeks), but...nada.

He's replied to the emails a couple times and promised to call, but he doesn't.

Until I talk to him, I really can't find an alternative venue for the monthly singaround. And, this month, I'll be out of town St. Patrick's weekend.

He and the other partner keep telling Jim and I how pleased they are with our weekly Anglo-Celtic trad session on Sundays. There seem to be no problems on that front.

The weekly mixed trad session at the Continental (Chinese restaurant) north of Dover on Fridays from 4:30-8:00 is also cancelled for this week -- Friday, March 15.

But the Sunday trad session is ON next Sunday, St. Patrick's Day, 2-5. Great Bay Sailor will be performing after the session.
