Ah the joys of trying to scroll. Sorry about that.
Puts me back to the first computer I worked with. The room was two miles away, filled with people in white coats. That was the computer. Back in my own workplace you sat at a keyboard and typed, then went two floors down to see what you had produced, and back up to correct and edit. When WYSIWYg arrived it was like the sun had burst through dark rain clouds.
Which is no help at all with the current infelicity.

I've become familiar with pages that scroll like this having first met them on the New York Times website. It works fine on this big tablet. (Though the >> to the right of some 'pages' is confusing - when I first saw it I tapped it, which caused it to zoom off somewhere.)

Neither of my phones can display it - they get stuck.

What a great page, one can browse around and hear some great recordings, great quality, with lots of helpful background information on both songs and singers. Lots of applause for Mr. McVicar!

But yes, on a large laptop screen, it does shoot around disconcertingly when one is trying to inch down just one line or so. It may help to forget about using the arrow keys.

Yes, on my Mac with a large screen everything displays fine.

Not set out for a tablet I fear? Works fine on my PC, most of the pages sit neatly on the screen. I'll try it again on my smartphone.

What an awful navigation on this site; it makes it near impossible to read. The site is several pages long, with each page longer than the screen on my tablet. Each time when I've read the first screen part of a page and want to scroll a bit forward to read the rest, it goes to the next page. What the f...!

To mark the 70 years anniversary of the 1951 Ceilidh I have worked with the Lomax Archive to make an 'Exhibit', with the original recordings plus performances of most of the same songs by present day artists. Many thanks to Malinky, Anne Lorne Gilles, Christine Kydd, Steve Byrne, Iona Fyfe, Alastair Roberts, Aileen Carr, The Furrow Collective, Katherine Campbell, Morrigan's Wake of Italy, David Stewart and Francy Devine of Ireland, Gordeanna MacCulloch via Adam, Tonight At Noon. Drop-in guest appearances from Youtube by Barbara Dickson, Archie Fisher and Billy Connolly.
Tried without success to make a blue clicky. Search for Lomax Digital Archive and select Exhibits. Ewan
