Subject: RE: Lyr Req: Could use some help From: MMario Date: 04 Oct 00 - 10:38 AM The Highwayman as I first learned it, is even more abridged then McKennitt's version, but I like the tune a whole lot more. it was used as the theme song for a movie late 50's I think.

Subject: RE: Lyr Req: Could use some help From: mousethief Date: 03 Oct 00 - 05:35 PM Sorry, Ed. Actually I was ashamed of myself for taking 16 minutes since the question was first posted. I had the whole thing ready to go and then clicked "Clear Entries" instead of "Submit Message" and had to start all over again!

Subject: RE: Lyr Req: Could use some help From: mousethief Date: 03 Oct 00 - 05:32 PM As it turns out, The Highwayman as McKennit sings it is an abridgement of a much longer poem by Alfred Noyes, clicky

Subject: Could use some help From: kkat99 Date: 03 Oct 00 - 05:13 PM After seeing Slim Dusty at the closing of the Olympics I can't get Waltzing Matilda out of my mind. I remember singing it when I was in grade school in the 50's. I just can't remember all the words. Also I listen to Celtic music on www.radiofreecash.com all the time. There is song called the Hiwayman by Loreena McKennit. I would like to find the lyrics to it as well. Can anyone help? |
