Glad you enjoyed Whitby - it's one of my favourite places in the universe!

By the way, they won. Cheesy photos with cup can be had by PM me..... I don't recommend it......

We had a great time, Phoebe wasn't thrown out of anywhere, I actually managed to drink 3 pints of beer (3 times my normal weekend intake..... unless in the song circle.... and built a sandcastle. The weather was gorgeous, who said Whitby was going to be freezing?

Liz has been pre-empted on this. There is a gathering of sword dancers in the Tap & Spile near the station on Friday night. On Saturday East Saxons will probably do a couple of warm up dances in the pedestrianised shopping street (is it Baxtergate?) before the competition which is at the Spa Pavilion in the afternoon. There will probably be more drinking in the Elsinore (or the one opposite depending on the availability of food) and in the Plough.

We hope to be doing a rapper tour of the pubs in the evening after eating.

(See, I said he never tells me anything! LTS)

That's because it was only sorted out yesterday.

It depends on how well behaved they are I suppose but as far as I know both places are children friendly -
BTW - the folk Club is at the WHITE HART in Mickleby

How are they with children? Will I be frogmarched off with them?

ooh yes I forgot about that one and the food in the dolphin at RHB is absolutely wonderful. Don't take the mobile phone though, they use to frogmarch you off the premises.

If you are still there on Sunday Liz, then try the session at the Tap & Spile on Sunday evening which is generally run by another catter Mandomad.

Manitas, the Bratling and I will be in Whitby this weekend (don't bother burglaring the house, the cat sitter is living in and all the good stuff will be with us. Just melodeons left... actually, the spare key is under the third flower pot to the right....), and wondered if anyone else was going to be around. Of course, he has told me nothing of the details, except that the Sword Dance Team are performing, going by the name of East Saxon Sword. They usually do it in pubs (where else?) and I'll be the bored looking one attempting to stop child from throwing itself under their feet, or attempting to throw said child off the cliffs.
