The other thread you started around the same time has been marked as a duplicate. Please don't keep repeating the same question; threads are not deleted here, so the more you add, the more the place silts up with unnecessary stuff that just makes it harder for people to help you, and people who come along later (which they will) asking the same question. You can always bring your thread back up to the top of the list by posting a new message to it; see the FAQ thread at the top of the threads list on the main Forum page for helpful information on the best ways of getting good results here. Subject: Help! Does anyone know of this song? From: GUEST,allison Date: 19 Apr 01 - 09:35 PM I am looking for the composer and title of this song I heard on a recording years ago. I believe the composer is from the U.K. but I'm not positive. Thanks for your help! And to see how my true love comes smiling And to see how my true love comes in It would make any pauper feel happy It would make every nightingale sing Oh me love, he's a soldier for freedom Oh me love, he's the one I adore, As he stands there so tall and so handsome And he says he'll be mine forever more Then one day he arose and went from me Saying wait for me darling I return When the rest of the fighting is over And the final victory is won Oh the city's no place for a farmer And the riots no place for a child And the battle's no place for my true love And black is no colour for a bride And so on.... |
