"Wendigo"? I learned that wonderful song from an old friend I haven't seen in 29 years...Mickey Clark. Do any of you good Louisville folks know him?

By the way who DID write Wendigo?

Off topic, but important to me...I saw Randy Johnson pitch in Louisville when he was about 19. Six foot ten and so fast he scared the hell out of the Nashville Sounds. I remember he struck out 14 and walked 9!

Hi Stevangelist,

You need to talk to James/Jim. He used to post here, but has not answered my latest PM's. He has organized the "Homefront" Series in the old Kentucky Theater on Fourth Street. He wrote me a very long PM describing it, but I would prefer to have his permission before I quote him on the Internet. You can read all about the series in the Courier-Jounal (Scene Magazine). I think they meet every 2nd Saturday and record a concert to be aired on radio stations throughout the year. He's also the one who knows everything about the Louisville folk scene. Anyway, PM me if you need more info. I have Jim's last name and approximate address (since he lives near my brother-in-law).

Specifically the Louisville or Lexington areas, but on weekends and off days I can travel a bit farther.

Looking for places where a fat guy with guitar and harmonicas and lots of songs about love and God and peace and family and folky stuff can go and play and not get judged, as happened, sadly, at many other so-called "open" mic nights. Any suggestions? Comments? Circles/Gatherings I should be made privy to? Thanks in advance.
