When I pasted the song in my previous note, the chorus did not indent as I intended. The chorus is the third phrase starting with "The silence of the forest...."

I haven't heard the rainforest cuts (no pun intended) you were referring to in your request. If you're interested in learning other songs dealing with deforestation, I would be happy to send you a cd of a song I wrote many years ago. You can PM me if your interested. It may take a few weeks for me to get around to recording it but I'd be willing to do it free of charge. The lyrics are as follows:

A friend I was driving with played a tape of music remixed over the voices of people from the rain forests - pygmies and others. She thought it was called Black Forest, but I can't find it online under that name.

One of the songs was a big disco hit a couple of years ago.

Sorry for the vague request - but does anyone know the name of the CD or tape? It's beautiful, haunting music.
