Subject: RE: Musical BS: Music and mice From: Escamillo Date: 28 Jun 02 - 09:00 PM "how can you keep from singing when the music wants to come out? " That's right, MMario, many times per day the music pushes to flow out, and perhaps that's what is keeping us alive. Thanks BlSmith, Steve, Joy, Sean ! Un abrazo - Andrés |
Subject: RE: Musical BS: Music and mice From: GUEST,Sean Date: 28 Jun 02 - 10:43 AM Some of the best singing that I have heard has been from quite singers. For me its not the voice thats behind it but the heart. If you sing a song from your heart that's a gift for us all. Unshamedly an old romantic |
Subject: RE: Musical BS: Music and mice From: MMario Date: 28 Jun 02 - 10:29 AM Listen, Fieval - you've made it through two movies. If a mouse can do that he can do anything! (obscure reference to american movies) mouse or man, how can you keep from singing when the music wants to come out? |

Subject: RE: Musical BS: Music and mice From: Steve Parkes Date: 28 Jun 02 - 05:35 AM DO NOT SHUT UP!! Maybe you'll never be a tenor to rival Domingo or Pavarotti, but that's not what you want to be (is it?) Sing for Joy, and let Humility take care of itself! Steve |
Subject: RE: Musical BS: Music and mice From: Bruce Date: 28 Jun 02 - 05:31 AM A world in which each gives what they can with joy and humility will be a great improvement ... a world of happy mice? Sounds OK to me. Sing out, Andrés! All the best. |
Subject: Musical BS: Music and mice From: Escamillo Date: 28 Jun 02 - 05:04 AM Have just listened and seen on TV "A night of Opera" , a concert by the Berliner Philharmoniker conducted by James Levine, singing tenor Ben Heppner. I tuned late, so I saw some Wagner's and Strauss' songs and fragments, and the final clamorous Berliner Air. I feel like a mouse. A happy mouse full of music, after all. In 2000 I attended a concert in the Colón Opera House in Buenos Aires by the same orchestra, that time with Claudio Abbado, and that was one of the unforgettable moments of my life. The question is, can a mouse like me, still sing ? Can we assume our limitations, give our small and humble art the position it deserves ? Can we avoid presumptous concepts about ourselves, and offer the best of us with the best of our humbleness ? I guess we can. I just need someone who tells me to not shut up for the rest of my life :) Un abrazo - Andrés |
