Subject: RE: Workshops in Wales From: Oaklet Date: 21 Sep 02 - 06:43 AM No it isn't. Worksop is definately in Nottinghamshire, England 'cause I've been. (A helpful and considered Hull response9.) |
Subject: RE: Workshops in Wales From: sian, west wales Date: 20 Sep 02 - 02:49 PM Hi Bron. Both are completely bilingual, with instantaneous translation where required. So, no probs! The Fishguard one will deal with Plygain (amongst other things) and I'm hoping that a couple of our 'practioners/demonstrators' will be from your neck of the woods. When I get more details sorted, we'll aslo provide info on B&Bs. Hope you can join us! Also ... that you're getting over your bump! sian |
Subject: RE: Workshops in Wales From: GUEST,Llanfair Date: 20 Sep 02 - 11:38 AM I might well be interested, Sian, I'll check it out. Is the Fishguard one open to Saesneg? As you know, I speak very little Welsh. Cheers, Bron. |
Subject: Workshops in Wales From: sian, west wales Date: 20 Sep 02 - 05:24 AM trac is organising two events that may be of interest. "Handing it On" is our second one-day course for traditional musicians who want to develop skills in running workshops and will be held in Llanrwst, N. Wales on October 12. Karen Tweed (The Poozies and SWAP) and Stephen Rees (Crasdant et al) are the tutors. Details from trac on 01938 820197. (There'll be another similar session in April 2003.) We're also organising another Forum, on 23 November looking at Welsh seasonal song. It's being held in Fishguard, with the help of the local folk club, but we haven't firmed up all the details yet. If you want to receive info direct, send your contact details to arfon@trac-cymru.org (or phone Arfon on the number above). Hope to see some of you there. sian
