Yes, that was the only one I could find and I didn't think it was likely to be the one.

I'm officially stumped on this, but like Joe said, I'm not much on the rock stuff.

This is a folk forum, so popular rock club songs aren't our forte. Closest I could find was Second time Around (click), a 1979 recording by Shalimar.

Trying to find a song from the year @1972- Popular rock, club song (I used to play it when a member of the house band at the now defunct "Montage" nightclub in Washington, DC!!)- Chorus features driving muted guitar stokes with three part harmony- Only words I remember- "Do I try to satisfy you baby? -------- you maybe" or something like that.

Long shot, but hopin' it might come to someone's mind if they know the song.
