I used to do a pale imitation of his great song Blues Run the Game. Which some transient pop star re-recorded recently. I used to see him round the clubs in the 60s and 70s in London;Lanfranc's description is spot on.

Only just picked up on this, Leo. I have one CD of Jackson's, and will be adding the second as soon as I can.

I remember Jackson from the 60s, a strange chap, but highly talented.

i just came across this today whilst browsing the CDs. seems to be everything on here that we're ever going to have of jackson's recordings - two CDs and 43 tracks, the second CD almost entirely recorded in the 90s. his voice is completely different and his hands take some time to warm up but i can't help but love almost everything this guy sang into a microphone. i don't know if there are many fans here but there should be. anyway, there you go.
