I've been singing in Glasson for over twenty years! BUT - it's Glasson in Co. Westmeath in Ireland... I've actually been in Glasson (Dock)near Lancaster also - and agree it's a lovely place. Wish I could be there for the festival!

Regards

A fantastic place and a great line up. Might even manage to make it myself if I can free up some time.

There is a section on the website on how to sail there if you want to keep your feet dry! The Marina looks nice.

Cheers
Sarah

Subject: First Glasson Folk Festival July 2-4
From: GUEST,Sarah

The first Glasson Folk Festival near Lancaster, UK, will take place over the weekend of 2nd-3rd-4th July 2004.

Artists are:

Broughton Hutchings & Nicol, Rory McLeod, howdenjones (band and trio),
Last Night's Fun, Vicki Swan & Jonny Dyer, Anne Taggart & Angie Wright, Trefor & Vicki Williams, Karen & Colin Thompson and Invocal.

There will be very reasonably priced camping (with onsite 'portaloos'-PJIII's to be precise) available within easy walking distance of the main concert venue (Village Hall) and the village centre.

As there is only one main venue with a limited capacity (around 190 seated), there are no 'weekend' tickets. Instead, seats at individual concerts are being sold with a discount of £5 if a ticket for all three main concerts is bought.

The festival website is at http://www.glassonfestival.org.uk/Articles/General/Index.html
