Subject: RE: How's this for a party? From: Azizi Date: 23 Jun 05 - 11:07 PM Hmmmm. I used to get good grades in English, but you would never know it from some of the posts I post {HA!}. Here's a correction from my last comment: "These are crazy times". |
Subject: RE: How's this for a party? From: Azizi Date: 23 Jun 05 - 11:03 PM I found this article on astrological energies active in Oct. 2005. I'm going to take the liberty to post the entire article: "Astrology Hot Zones for June-July-August-September-October 2005 - The Grand Irrationality Influence on All Signs by Robert Wilkinson As I wrote in an earlier article about the generic weirdness and edginess in the air, "Due to the on-going Neptune septile Pluto, we have greater irrationality on a global level than at any time since it last happened during the '30s and the rise of Fascism and other authoritarian models. Jupiter's station at 9 Virgo in May 2004 established 3 points of the Great Septile pattern, and created some hot zones in our charts wherever these points fall. These points fall roughly at 7-11 Virgo, 29 Libra-3 Scorpio, 19-23 Sagittarius, 11-15 Aquarius, 3-7 Aries, 25-29 Taurus, and 15-19 Cancer." Since I wrote this, the pattern has advanced between 2 to 5 degrees, but these original spans will again be activated during the coming 5 months, and wherever they fall in our charts is where we have crucial choices to make, setting our future into dynamic motion. It is also where we will learn how to be mature, set clear boundaries, and take responsibility to choose what we will be limited by, or not. This is in accordance with the Septile series Saturnian nature, being derived from the division of the circle of 360 degrees by 7, yielding non-rational values. The Septile, Biseptile, and Triseptile all have their unique function in the span of aspects, and definitely indicate major turning points, or life changing relationships and activities. To continue last October's article, "Any planets in your chart that fall near these points has been activated by major irrationality during the past year. Any time we've had a transit of these points, it has triggered the pattern. Septiles, biseptiles, and triseptiles all deal with the irrational, 'destiny producing' forks in the road we all confront at various times of crisis and decision. While each aspect has its unique function within the series, they all show as obsessive-compulsive urges, experiences, and interactions at the ego level, and major points of choice and irrevocable change in our lives on a dharma level. Sun signs at the degree spans in the first paragraph are those born the first week of September, late October early November, mid-December, early February, late March, mid-May, and early to mid July. Due to where Neptune and Pluto advanced to since then, you can extend the time spans a little. It especially is freaking out people with Pluto, Uranus, or Saturn in these degree spans. For Pluto, it now affects all those born between mid 1926 through late 1931, late 1961, mid July 1962-mid 1964, early 1983, Oct 1983-Nov 1985, and those born now, since Pluto is currently in that span. For Uranus, it affects those born April 1928-Sep 1928, Feb 1929-Mar 1930, mid 1940, mid and late 1941, Mar-Jun 1942, Dec 1942-Mar 1943, Aug 1952-Jan 1953, May-Aug 1953, Dec 1953-Jun 1954, Oct 1963-Feb 1964, Jul 1964-Jul 1965, Nov 1974-Apr 1975, Sep-Nov 1975, Apr-Oct 1976, Feb-Apr 1986, Nov 1986-Nov 1987, May-Nov 1987, 1999, and Oct-Nov 2000. All those born in these time spans can expect very strange occurrences to bring forth your uniqueness or genius, even if things seem way out of control and make no sense at all. You're individuating, and either cooperating or exploding sideways or both. People with Saturn in these spans are probably going through a lot of choices about which limitations, restrictions, duties, obligations, and fears you're willing to live with and what you really don't want to take into your future. Your security systems are in flux from forces that challenge the structure of your reality, so be flexible and have no fear! Dates are month/year: 12/23 through 4/24, 9/24-11/24, 12/28-1/29, 7/29-9/29, 3/33-7/33, 12/33-1/34, 6/37-8/37, 3/38-4/38, 7/41-11/41, 4/42-5/42, 7/45-8/45, 1/46-5/46, 8/49-9/49, 10/53-12/53, 5/54-8/54, 1/58-2/58, 5/58-6/58, 10/58-11/58, 2/63-3/63, 9/63-12/63, 4/67-5/67, 10/67-2/68, 5/71-7/71, 12/71-3/72, 9/74-12/74, 5/75-7/75, 9/78-3/79, 6/79-8/79, 12/82-5/83, 8/83-10/83, 3/87-4/87, 11/87-12/87, 3/92-8/92, 12/92-1/93, 5/96-9/96, 2/97-3/97, 5/2000-11/2000, and 4/01-5/01. As always, if your Moon, Mercury, Mars or whatever is in those hot zones, you can expect the energetics to work on those parts of your inner and outer life. We're all definitely facing forks in the road of our destiny in specific areas of life, as is the world in general. The septile pattern was triggered late October (Sun transit Libra-Scorpio sector), 2nd week of November (Mars transit), 2nd week of December (Sun), 4th week of Jan (Mars), last week of Jan-beginning of February 2005 (Sun), 4th week of March (Sun), first 10 days of April (Mars), and 3rd week of May (Sun). Future hot zones will occur at 3rd week of June (Mars), 2nd week of July (Sun), first week of September (Sun), and like last year, late October and 2nd week of December (Sun). Other times will be triggered by Mercury and Venus, but I won't go into that here. As I've pointed out before, much will not make sense during these periods, but it doesn't have to. Open to the non-rational forms of knowing, be alert to obsessive thinking or compulsive behaviors in your world, and try not to get unnerved by the general "Marx Brothers" or "Twilight Zone" qualities to things that occur during these times. Cooperate in pioneering group endeavors, and don't worry if it's all very strange in the forseeable future." © Copyright 2005 Robert Wilkinson. Source: Astrology Website -snip- Those who understand astrology much more than me can feel free to post a translation of this article. With my limited astrological knowledge, I wouldn't dream of attempting to do so. But I will say this:. One thing I got from the article is that this is crazy times [DUH!] And the craziness affects some people more than others [Double DUH!}. Maybe some people will think so, but I don't find it comforting to know that craziness is all over and may become more so. Craziness is certainly here at Mudcatville as certain BS threads I won't mention by name definitely demonstrate... Triple DUH!!! Azizi |
Subject: RE: How's this for a party? From: GUEST,skivee Date: 23 Jun 05 - 10:47 PM In case this hasn't been made clear, Mars will not be a huge red orb in the sky on the night in question. To the nekkid eye Mars will be about 20% bigger than it would appear on average. On a clear night, instead of being a Lttle little little little little orangy dot in the sky It will be a little little little little orangy dot in the sky. No huge looming red planet. The Moon appears about a zillion times bigger to the eye. http://antwrp.gsfc.nasa.gov/apod/ This image (June 23) clearly shows that the moon is smaller than an ancient temple |
Subject: RE: How's this for a party? From: paddymac Date: 23 Jun 05 - 10:01 PM Gee - I was sort of hoping somebody more knowledgeable than I about such things (or maybe just less gullible) could provide more elaboration. Looks like the August thing might just be somebody's presumptively humorous attempt to ride the new movie. Maybe we could still have a party: "Galactic Fraud Bash." Nah, "galactic" technically questionable. Maybe "Red Planet - Red Face". Nah, the pc crowd would find a way to misinterpret that, 'cause they've never been embarassed. Ah! Here's one that might work: "The Red Blues Bash." I'm thinking red as in Mars and blues as in blues, but of course, some would think it old-school anticommunist/socialist, etc, and others might think it a play on contemporary US politics. Damn, that might be a better idea than I thought. |

Subject: RE: How's this for a party? From: Le Scaramouche Date: 23 Jun 05 - 04:14 AM No one would have believed, in the first years of the twenty-first century, that human affairs were being watched from the timeless worlds of space. No one could have dreamed we were being scrutinized, as someone with a microscope studies creatures that swarm and multiply in a drop of water. Few men even considered the possibility of life on other planets and yet, across the gulf of space, minds immeasurably superior to ours regarded this Earth with envious eyes, and slowly and surely, they drew their plans against us.... And don't anyone dare mention Tom Cruise. |
Subject: RE: How's this for a party? From: GUEST,Paul Burke Date: 23 Jun 05 - 03:49 AM "At a modest 75-power magnification Mars will look as large as the full moon to the naked eye." Was that line split accidental? Actually, Mars will look just about the same as it always does. Which, sadly, is unspectacular in most of the UK, because of the lunatic levels of street lighting and security lights. |
Subject: RE: How's this for a party? From: Kaleea Date: 23 Jun 05 - 03:23 AM My farmers' almanac says that Mars will be closest to earth on oct 29 when it will be 43,137,071 miles away. Now I'm really wondering what these heavenly events mean according to astrologers. |

Subject: RE: How's this for a party? From: Azizi Date: 22 Jun 05 - 10:14 PM I mean seeing as though we can't remember being around the last time it occurred {even if we believe in reincarnation}. But if folks just wanna have fun, well this is as good an excuse as any... |
Subject: RE: How's this for a party? From: Peace Date: 22 Jun 05 - 10:14 PM Mars will have another close encounter with Earth in in 2005, but that occurrence will take place in October (not August), and the red planet will appear about 20% smaller than it did during similar circumstances in 2003. The above is from Snopes. See article here: http://www.snopes.com/science/mars.asp |

Subject: RE: How's this for a party? From: Azizi Date: 22 Jun 05 - 10:13 PM Are there any astrologers in the house that can share some thoughts on what this is suppose to mean? Does anyone know? |
Subject: How's this for a party? From: paddymac Date: 22 Jun 05 - 10:09 PM If ever there was amade to order reason for a good party, this is it. How about on Saturday, August 27, 2005, mudcatter's around the world gather at their favorite watering holes and, at some agreed time, all of us hoist a beverage of choice for the elusive dream of peace and folk music. We can coordinate through the 'cat It would be a marvelous "hook" for booking gigs. MARS SPECTACULAR! The Red Planet is about to be spectacular! This month and next, Earth is catching up with Mars in an encounter that will culminate in the closest approach between the two planets in recorded history. The next time Mars may come this close is in 2287. Due to the way Jupiter's gravity tugs on Mars and perturbs its orbit, astronomers can only be certain that Mars has not come this close to Earth in the Last 5,000 years, but it may be as long as 60,000 years before it happens again. The encounter will culminate on August 27th when Mars comes to within 34,649,589 miles of Earth and will be (next to the moon) the brightest object in the night sky. It will attain a magnitude of -2.9 and will appear 25.11 arc seconds wide. At a modest 75-power magnification Mars will look as large as the full moon to the naked eye. Mars will be easy to spot. At the beginning of August it will rise in the east at 10p.m. and reach its azimuth at about 3 a.m. By the end of August when the two planets are closest, Mars will rise at nightfall and reach its highest point in the sky at 12:30a.m. That's pretty convenient to see something that no human being has seen in recorded history. So, mark your calendar at the beginning of August to see Mars grow progressively brighter and brighter throughout the month. Share this with your children and grandchildren. NO ONE ALIVE TODAY WILL EVER SEE THIS AGAIN |
