Subject: RE: Singer on BBC2 programme? From: Mick Pearce (MCP) Date: 25 Sep 05 - 05:31 AM Bonnie Thanks - I'm having a great time up here on the Nottingham/Yorks/Derby border. It was the fact that the link listed her as a harp player that made it unclear if it was her you saw (I thought you'd have spotted if she had one!) but I thought the clips might help. Glad it worked. Nice to see you popping in from time to time. Best wishes. Mick |

From: Bonnie Shaljean Date: 24 Sep 05 - 09:22 PM Thanks, Mick - it WAS Nollaig Brolly, who's a new name to me (I see from your link that she plays harp too, though she wasn't using it in the song I saw her do). I'm very glad to have the info, & hope you're keeping well. All the best, Bonnie |
Subject: RE: Singer on BBC2 programme? From: Mick Pearce (MCP) Date: 24 Sep 05 - 05:49 PM Bonnie Here's a BBC link for SRL. They have some info on the music they're showing, programme 1 mentions Nollaig Brolly, but it's not clear if that's who you heard. Mick |
Subject: Singer on BBC2 programme? From: Bonnie Shaljean Date: 24 Sep 05 - 05:37 PM Who was the girl who sang right at the end of "SRL" over the closing credits? I don't know what those letters stand for, but it's a new TV programme on BBC2 which ended about ten past eight tonight (Saturday, later than the advertised time) just before "Lagan Live". It may only have been shown in Ireland as BBC Ulster sometimes varies from the other regions. She was playing keyboard and singing, and had an acoustic guitarist with her who was doing some nice-sounding fingerpicking. I liked what I managed to catch, but tuned in late as I was aiming for the show following it. Whoever she is, I'd be interested to hear more of her. Can anyone help? Thanks – |
