the percussion workshops that are planned, will cater for adults and children, So if you have a family this could be the ideal holiday for the Jazz lover.
    . There is also a park with swings etc, Pedal boats for hire, and the wonderful 12 arch bridge, Hope to see you in may.

Ballydehob has seven pubs , a very good health/whole food shop, a couple of cafes ,two very good restaurants .and some wonderful fresh air,plus a trad session every friday. and now a JAZZ FESTIVAL.

Please see the Blitherscrum folk festival thread. I, too, thought the Ballydehob jazz festival was another joke.

I went to the Ballydehob site but didn't see anything about the festival. (Loved the bearded man in the house dress.)

Visit our information stand at The food of West Cork Festival in Skibereen on this Sunday the 17th of September.

Please note, the GAA are opening up their football grounds for camping and tents for the period of the festival, so don`forget your sleeping bag or your girlfriend

You can also visit, danno mahonys statue while listening to the Jazz.
Dan O mahony was Ballydehobs most famous son, he won the world wrestling champinship in the 1930,s.

Dear Mariner,
Booked for the Jazz Festival are Nigel Mooney Band (ireland), The Street Rats (Switzerland),Joe Townsend Band (England), Karl-Heinz Nagel Trio (Germany), Samuel Hudson And Friends (EngLand)and the Snack Band (Germany).
Details of band members can be had on request.
More artists yet to be arranged funds permitting.
