Subject: Are You Lonesome Tonight - Elvis ad lib From: Genie Date: 19 Apr 10 - 07:07 PM Someone asked in another thread if there was an mp3 of this (in)famous incident where Elvis, while singing "Are You Lonesome Tonight?" in Las Vegas, noticed two "baldheaded" guys sitting near the front and spontaneously sang the song this way: Elvis: Are You Lonesome Tonight" - Laughing version I thought I should post it separately, since the other thread was about a parody version of AYLT. This wasn't so much a parody as a mere ad lib of one couplet in the lyrics. Apparently it tickled Elvis's funny bone. |
