O'Reilly Publishing sponsered a recent conference on the whole peer-to-peer phenomenon. Dr. Dobbs Journal recorded many of the sessions and has made them available as Real video Webcasts. Here is link to the Dr. Dobbs site where you will find links to the various sessions.

As I write this, I'm viewing the panel discussion entitled "Free Code, Free Culture" moderated by Tim O'Reilly, O'Reilly & Assoc. With: Larry Lessig, Stanford Law School, John Perry Barlow, Electronic Frontier Founation, Dan Gillmore, San Jose Mercury News, Clay Shirky, The Accelerator Group.

These sessions aren't just short clips, they're conferece sessions but if you have an interest in P2P and creative rights, you may find them interesting.

The Old 97's support tape-swapping as well.

OR you could do like Pearl Jam did...they had every show on their American 2000 tour recorded and released. Where I get CD's, they have about 15 of them. I think something like 45 of them were released. All listed by date & location, so you can listen to any live show from the tour. Plus, you can skim through them, if you're looking for certain songs in the playlist, until you find one that has the songs you want on it.

A dissedent is here.

Too bad the Old 97's don't support real music.
