Subject: RE: Mudcat Alternative British Folk Awards From: RichardP Date: 11 Mar 04 - 05:21 AM This really is like the real thing isn't it? I note that the number of nominees is at least in one category significantly fewer than the nominees submitted in the preceding postings. Furthermore, I can see no way that the members who posted have determined which are selected for the ballot paper and which are ignored. Certainly, there are candidates in the ballot with only one nomination, while others have been omitted after receiving two or more independent nominations. Is the Mudcat becoming a guided democracy????? Richard P.S. I have no idea what happened, but the system woudl not let me compose a posting without first sending the above blank one. |
Subject: RE: Mudcat Alternative British Folk Awards From: IanC Date: 11 Mar 04 - 05:25 AM Richard Sorry if I've missed anything out ... it takes quite a while to compile the list from all the postings, but I didn't deliberately miss out anything which actually fitted the categories (though the special awards are optional as far as I'm concerned). If you can POINT OUT WHAT I MISSED, I'll put it in. :-) |
