my *mom*, katlaughing said you didn't mind if i took a turn at the tftd about our moving

of course i have known for months what they were planning i've been around the block if you know what i mean i should describe myself first i am black with streaks of gold *shot* through my lush coat i am so soft that mom likes to tickle my belly when i am standing up which makes me just go crazy with purring but then i forget myself and nip at her hand then she stops and i have to jump down off of the bed and then i get right back up and she scratches my third eye region and i give her a kiss and oh uh-oh i was supposed to be telling you about the *move* sorry but just remember i am the most beautiful of black cats with egyptian eyes and we will get along just fine oh and do not touch unless i give permission for i am also quite fierce and will bite your finger off if i feel like it

the last move i remember was seven years ago we went for a long time several lighttimes and several darktimes in a big noisy box which moved and roared most of the other furpersons were real scaredy cats but i liked it i proudly rode up front in my mom's lap watching the world roll by even the big huge boxes with big roars on both sides of us in a place mom calls shhhh kaw goe

so we've been in this home for a long time but i remember what the good-to-scratch on boxes are for i remember mom and her girlkit putting things in them and shutting them tight so we couldnt play jack in the box

it doesn't scare me in the least i am of supreme confidence and know my mom will include me in all of her plans there are two fairly new members who dont have a klew it is obvious they are not well traveled they go running here and there with a madness which seizes their brains dashing into one another into boxes and walls getting scolded by mom and if they are really bad she rattles the big noise at them which makes us all stop

so the move is going well for me i eat drink sleep leave mom to it and wait for the big day when she will first lock us in a room where we will hear them all moving about huffing and puffing and slamming doors then she will creep into our room scoop us each up and put us in a cage a nice cozy little safe spot put us into the big roarbox then take us away it doesn't sound as though it will be a long time ride this time and i am looking forward to our new home

mom says tomorrow the brat trystan will get to visit with you he thinks he owns the joint but hes never moved and hes really scared he just wont show it

You have my sympathy, Ms. K. My poor kitties moved NYC to Chicago and back via airplane. Some idiot put poor Munchkin on the luggage conveyor belt and she rode round and round screaming in anger until I rescued her. Lu Lu got to ride in First Class. They never got along after that. In a week or two this will all be "kitty legend" to be passed on in stories over warm milk. Be good for Mom.

Well my Pop just told me about your move. I am also a beautiful black cat but I have huge round golden eyes and long fur. I didn't mind in the least when My Mom and Pop moved, although they only moved to next door.

Tell your Mom that she has to put butter on your paws when you get to your new house. Cat legend has it that it will stop you running away. But really it's just a ploy we use to get a little extra butter.

I LIKE butter, and I like boxes so I'm envying your move. All those lovely boxes and all that lovely rustling paper. I wish we could move again. Butter, butter, butter.

I have a dog who likes butter. Can't leave it lying around on the counter or she'll help herself.

The last time Thumper (our catperson) moved was 9 years ago. He hid behind the washing machine for 2 days, which is where he still runs when strange people come to the house.
