Well - what a very excellent weekend! Well done everyone! We made it home just before the caravan was due to turn back into a pumpkin - tired but so pleased to have been part of such a great start to the 'new' Bude festival - this is sure to become one of the fixtures on the folk calendar.

Great to meet so many 'catters (and other folkies too).

See you all again sometime soon.

Andrew & Carole

Just clocked the pitchas on view!

Aah'm not sure if yez are extractin' the urine there, Hawker, Bonnie Lass, but the way a look arrit is....

Most people get up in the mornin', tek off their jimmie-jams and have a wesh/shooer/bord-bath. Then they get dressed into their 'work-claes' and gan te work.

They cums hyem and gets changed into summat comfortable te hev their tea and then hev another wesh/shooer/wharrevva te gan oot in the evenin'.

THEN they come back and get undressed and climb into their jim-jams again (Prob'ly having had another wesh).

What a palaver!! Aah get up! Aah does the fower S's (Sh*t, Shooer, Shampoo & Shave!) Aah puts on me PJ's! End of story!

Next day? The same just different pyjamas - Aah save aboot an hour and a half a day and aalwez carry a tin of armpit repellant for the evenin'.

Just you wait - Next Whitsun it'll be a bloody fashion statement and once again aah'll be the trendsetter (just like when aah wore the open-toed flannel troosers and the bowler hat wi' sleeves)

I loved the white Pyjamas, and what a great idea, can I borrow it? I'm just glad that you do wear pyjamas otherwise it could have been a little chilly - especially on Sunday! ;0)
Cheers, Lucy
PS I have acquired a bottle of aftershave.................anyone care to claim it?
Cheers, Lucy

The weekend was pure magic Lucy, a HUGE well-done to you, Kevin & all who made it such a fun & talent-filled event.
Thanks too for your warm hospitality (the after-shave is probably George's, we'll reclaim it when we're next down in your neck of the woods). Love to the girls (& cuddles to Hawkerhound & tripodcat!)

Hawkerhound and tripodipuss send their love tooo!
I am slowly winding down and reflecting on a wonderful weekend in great company. The new harp still has not arrived! It was held at Stanstead by Customs even though I coughed up the import tax and VAT immediately, no-one can explain why. should be here by 6pm!
Going to Boscastle to meet with Hils (MGAS) tonight for a sing.

Cheers, lucy

Lucy----Oh Yes!! Please , Please let 'Daystar' et al dress up in kit !! I was at Broadstairs Festival a few years ago, sitting in a pub ,when about 100 nineteenth- century Redcoats came in and quartered themselves therein----after about ten minutes, we all felt as if we"d been transported back 200 years ! A similar effect could be acheived at "The Tree", I'm sure, especially if the hanging of a Royalist could be arranged ?? Geordie-Peorgie looks suspiciously like The Laughing Cavalier, don"t you think ?? I'm a Roundhead, myself !!
          Shalom !! Roger...

What a delightful weekend! I'm now back at work and with a computer that, hopefully, works, having tried twice last week to post my congratulations to all who performed at and all who helped organise this event!

I had a lovely relaxing time. It was so good to meet all you Catters and listen to such great music.

I loved the pipes. What a fab way to end the Saturday night's concert! It should become 'traditional'!

Christine

Thanks and congratulations to all from the Shiny Bum Singers, our only regret was that we had two gigs scheduled that weekend at opposite sides of the country, so couldn't participate fully as we otherwise would.

We loved the invitation and the reception, and the others we heard on Friday evening, and were honoured to be part of it.

Excuse the late thanks, but I have just regained internet access after yet another mad dash the width of the country and back for a family wedding - incidentally for musos featuring brilliant solo saxophone by Dave Brogden at Haldon Belvedere castle's spectacular hilltop setting.

Cheers,
Chris

Fantastic!!!! What a brill weekend, thank you so much Lucy, Kevin and everyone who made it such a special event!

Can't write more now as my right hand is out of action. Had my carpel tunnel op this morning having safely returned from our Cornwall/Devon holiday last night. Dreadful day yesterday as one of my brothers died in the morning unexpectedly. Now feeling pretty useless with only one hand working and too much time on my hands - can't even twiddle my thumbs *smile*

Roll on next year for the next Bude extravaganza!!
