Great Festival coming up.They put a lot of hard work into it which can be seen by their web site which also contains a 7 page Programme which, when printed ,comes in very handy for those who are definitely attending .Sorry I'm not clever enough to give you a clickie address but here goes anyway .

I'm running my 'FOLK on the INTERNET' workshops at Saltburn once again.
I had a very good response at Saddleworth so hope that they will prove just as popular there.

Can't see any mention of No Fixed Abode, though I remember Tony and Una telling me they had been booked.

Whereabouts and when can their fans see them perform?

A bit crazy booking a great act like that and not mentioning them in the publicity. They did a fantastic set at Stainsby.

I know Nutty and Padge, but it drives me crazy when I hear of other Mud catters saying (afterwards) they were at Saltburn , how do we spot / know each other ?

I only ever find out bits and bobs when I visit our friends in the Globe at Guisborough , which in addition to the Rugby Folk club, is another place I'm looking forward to having a pint and a sing.

RE Catters, I suspect John and Chris Ingram from Donnie will be there (the badge mnakers) could have some Catters badges done

Re 'No Fixed Abode' they are certainly on the programme proper, so some chnages have taken place to original 'booked' guests

Very nice guitar from Tony and lovely Irish singer Una, from somewhere near Mansfield I think!!

They came to Barnsley a short while ago, Easter singaround I think lot gone on!!

My wife and I are going to try to make it up to Saltburn to visit with our Shellback Chorus friends on Sunday, 14th August. We plan to be at their singaround on Sunday afternoon from 2:30-4:30 pm. We would gladly meet anyone else who might be present. See you in Saltburn.

Sunday will be presentation of Fred and the Singer Songwriters following previous years (2 different venues) usually 3pm ish

Two lasses seek B & B in Saltburn Friday & Sat, unable to camp this year. Every place that ever did accomodation has ceased to do so. Tourist info can offer nice gaff at £90 per night - little on the expensive side. Anybody know anywhere that tourist info don't know about.

For anyone wanting a respite from the festival, in a good old faisoned back street pub - we have a Mudcat signing in book at The Globe (watering hole) Guisborough. TS14 6JP.

All will be made welcome, we keep a good pint of Cameron's Ruby Red Strongarm. There may be some Tiger left, If not it's Mansfield Dark Cask Ale.

We may make the Friday night, not sure about the rest of the weekend as we have a party booked on the Saturday and a Christening on the Sunday.

Betsy, old friend, we will see you at some point, no doubt.

I have twisted Betsy's arm to judge (one of em) I think, I organise and Chair stay sober during competition, along with Glen Osborne who fetches the beer (no he is excellent and good company)!

Competition still open for Fred need a weekened ticket, basically two best songs trad style start will be no later than 1pm singing Saturday also competition for singer songwriters need to talk to Trevor Lister

You appear to be out of luck!

Could try somewhere in Marske, perhaps or one or two of the festival venues like the Spa, but may be quite full

One or two Hotels used as festival venues, may know somewhere

Have you tried phoning Tourist information or Emailing them as they suggest?

The Wilson's were also in full swing last year!
Each had a pint in their hand in the Conservative club at 11am Saturday morning and they were doing a late night concert in the Spa at 1am Sunday morning! Much respect!!!

He's mainly been singing in Furrin parts - Spain, The States....

Yes there are new tracks - lots of them. The latest CD which is newly out he has done himself. There are now 5 different CD's available, including re-releases plus extra tracks of his early stuff.

I know a certain Mick Gardiner ( a big fan and singer of his songs ) who will be looking forward to seeing Bernie Parry as indeed will myself and I expect will Vin G., but it's so many years since I've seen him so Padge you might need to re-introduce me .

Yep I spent some time with Bernie at one or two festivals such as Cleethorpes and Beverley in the past.

he has guested at Barnsley folk club a number of times, but had 'disappeared ' hope to meet up with him at Saltburn if that is his plan
