I have just heard that Terry Warrington recently passed. He was well known around the Peterborough area but had been in poor health for some time. I don't have any more details I am afraid.
I first met him at the Peterborough Folk Club in the Cobden Arms way back in 1972. He gave me the confidence to get up and perform for the first time. He was skilled luthier and became known for making hurdy gurdies as well as stringed instruments. He fixed up my first guitar when he had finished working on one belonging to the Singing Postman.

I have been out of contact for a while so if anyone can fill in some more details that will be great.

He donated his body to Research at Cambridge University so there was no funeral. But there was a very large gathering with lots of tributes and music yesterday (18/10/2025) to remember him.
