Subject: Emmet Spiceland and Carolyn Hester From: GUEST,Clarisa Date: 01 Jul 24 - 07:00 AM Hi everyone, I am trying to find the credits for the songs on Carolyn Hester album (1962) and on "Emmet Spiceland"'s album "The First". Does anyone has them by any chance? Lately I bought them but there is no information about who wrote the songs. I know that mostly they are folklore but am not sure as to which one. |
Subject: RE: Emmet Spiceland and Carolyn Hester From: GUEST,GW Date: 01 Jul 24 - 07:42 AM All the tracks on the Emmet Spiceland album are credited to 'Trad. arr M. Byrne/D. Lunny/B. Byrne bar one. The exception is 'Autumn Has Come' which is credited to Shay Healy. |
Subject: RE: Emmet Spiceland and Carolyn Hester From: GUEST,Joe Tomrud Date: 02 Jul 24 - 08:22 AM On The Emmet Spiceland album "The First", the song "Mary from Dungloe" was written by Pádraig Mac Cumhaill (in the 1870's): "O'Carolan;s Concerto" was (obviously) written by Turlough O'Carolan, and Joseph Campbell is credited with the modern lyrics to "My Lagan Love". |
