Oracle sailed a very decent race and showed some serious strengths, but that pre-start aggression was the name of the tune here and that was the end of it. On the third leg I guess they say they were hunting better wind to get in the penalty turn......Whatever the reason, again the failure to cover Alinghi cost them dearly.

Congrats to the Swiss boat......They'll have it tough against NZ. Win or lose, they should provide better than the last Cup final. Personal opinion.....The Kiwis are gonna' be damn hard to beat, but the right boat is challenging.

Wow! That Swiss crew really does work like clockwork, and good clockwork at that! When is the final set of races scheduled?

February 15 I believe Charley......ESPN will have the US coverage and I'll try to start a thread a few days in advance with all the info.

I'd love to see a few of you also sign up for the Virtual Spectator coverage.....It let's you really see what is happening and I sit here with TV and computer and feel the only thing is missing is the motion and the taste of salt water!

er - yes. I can do without the motion, meself, as I'm one of the few (potential) yacht skippers that gets severely seasick!

I suggest that the new thread be held off until the pre-race maneuvering at meetings is concluded so it can focus on the racing.
