I am still too tired to function. Sigh - I'm getting old.

Seamus, you must be a magician. Jason isn't usually that outgoing with people he's just met. He's already talking about catching another one of your shows next time you're someplace nearby.

That was a splendid performance enhanced by the presence so many of the Mudcat New England contingent. The weather cooperated superbly, possibly with a little help from the early arrival who to his seat standing backstage. I could almost swear to the fact that he applauded the performance, but maybe it was just the tears of laughter interferring with my vision. Bente's confection was so delicious I had one piece of each flavor.

a Shéamais,

Thaitin go mór liom an ceol agus na scéalta greannmhar ar fad! Tá súl agam níorbh fhada an lá anonn nó go bhfeicfidh mé thú arís!

Wot's worse is we drove right by that very day because the
bloody 'orse in Pennsylvania had the bleedin' impaction colic,
aw bloody 'ell, at least I saw Cadillac Mtn. and T'under 'ole
(at low tide, so no t'under just 'ole) and Pushaw Lake and
played box on the porch of t'oose for said lake two days in a
row...

(P.S. t'orse is fine now, 3 gallons of mineral oil up
the nose n'out t'arse later, bloody t'orobreds, which he threw
a shoe pawin' n'aw wi' 'is bellyache and 'tween bill from
vetrinary an' bill from smithy will be a misery.)

A Bhríain,
Go raibh míle maith agat, a chara, agus tífidh mé arís thú, le cuidiú Dé.
Béidh mórán ceol agus craic againn le cheile.

Seamus

Kære Seamus,

Endnu engang tusind tak for en dejlig koncert i søndags, det var vildt morsomt, jeg har sjældent moret mig så godt!

Ah, mate, now you'll just have to learn some Danish as well, won't you? ;-))

Best wishes,

Bente

Knock it off! I hate it when people talk about me behind my back. Hate it worse when they spout gibberish right to my face!

See what a good night's sleep does? I am back!

Final thoughts on Seamus Kennedy:
The man is insane. Robin Williams on speed. He walks in like a sweet little Catholic boy bringing a note from Reverend Mother and then turns into a non-stop barrage of hysterically funny one liners, puns, jokes, observations...

Three sets of music and "comments" and I believe he could have gone on for three more. I know he could have - unfortunately we were running on pure adrenalin and crapped out after dinner.

Breakfast was another hilarious hour with a battle of the puns between Seamus and Kendall - something about where to hide the gun when getting on a plane. Once again I hurt from laughing and had to beg for a break.

Next time, Seamus will be the only event and we will play until morning.

A LAST THOUGHT: IF YOU HAVE NOT HAD THE OPPORTUNITY TO MEET bENTE, TRY. sHE WANDERED IN FROM mARBLEHEAD AND FIT RIGHT IN AS IF SHE LIVED NEXT DOOR. pUT UP WITH MY BITCHY MOMENTS, SHARED dAMN cAPSLOCK! some songs of her own, shopped and carried and did all she could to help. What a great and wonderful lady. And she looks good too except for the scabby knees. Something about Jed luring her into a cemetary and then trying to bury her. Think about moving to Maine, Bente.

Thank you everyone but especially Kendall and Jacqui for pulling off this weekend. No more festivals for me. I am strictly a one nighter.

Greetings to all (first post here),

I just wanted to say thank you for a wonderful time on Sunday. My wife and I had never seen Seamus before, though we had heard a few of his CD's. It was an incredible experience, and I'm glad we could be a part of it. Also thank for mentioning this place to keep up with music and events, it's great.

To Mary: Thanks for inviting us into your home.
To Seamus: Absolutely the best concert I have ever been to, and I've been to many "larger" venue performances.
To everyone else: nice to meet you and I hope to contribute and converse around here when time permits.

Thanks,
Ziggy (& Kristen)

You are obviously not fully recovered. If I were not such a demure gentleman, I would take advantage... of your statement, of course.

I'm back after a couple of days off and just wanted to say a big Thank You to both Seamus and Mary. It was a wonderful concert! It was nice to meet some real live Mudcatters, too! Aside from Dad, Jacqui and Mary, of course. And "live" was not how I would described father Sunday night. :-)

Thanks again, everybody ;-)
