The Bill's Birthday Celebration continues with this-

Joyful birth, richest life
Happy man with such a wife
Trusted friends knock at your door
Happy music evermore.

Happy birthday to Bill, Mudcat's William F. Buckley, standing athwart History (and music), shouting :"Stop!"'--as the perfect gentleman.

You'll have to clone yourself--you're needed everywhere.

On second thought, scratch the part about William F. Buckley--unless you can be a moderate to left-leaning WFB--- but don't scratch the "perfect gentleman" part.   The only time Bill pushes back is if you ask him to sing "Key of R" more than once a year.

" Bill, you will be there, won't you?"

I 'spects so.... 31 years straight now. I'll take many UN-birthday songs...

"Pshaw, Bill, you're just getting broken in."

Ahhh.. I KNEW there was a reason some parts weren't woring right.

"...scratch the part about William F. Buckley-"

Yes...that's best. I used to sit and complain how Buckley was smart enough to NOT have been conservative. How about Solomon?
Or Euripides --"The wisest men follow their own direction."

Or Alfred North Whitehead? who said: "Strive for simplicity, but learn to mistrust it."

Yeah...I'll be them. All at once... *giggle*

Just to point out the very small window between broken in and broken down.

Dear Father William,

Hope you are still celebrating - as you should be - and not by incessantly standing on your head as you always used to do. We are wishing you a very happy & satisfying year of BEING 70.

"But now that I'm perfectly sure I have none,
I do it again & again"

well....until the doc said, "It ain't your brain I'm worried about, but your neck!"

Thank you, one and all!
