Note the change everyone, performers and audience welcome, no charge great landlady, the pub area is all ours, starts at 7.30
Maybe Hamish and Lorna will be there.
Where did I hear you ask? The White Bear, Rickmansworth, near Watford/Harrow north-west London, near M25
Mainly songs but the occasional tune wouldn't be too bad, opportunity to join in vocally, eclectic taste, come and try us.
Also something similar every Saturday in St. Albans at the Blue Anchor

I thought this was a thread about the spirit bear recently captured on film by a local photographer. It's a young black bear that is (mostly) white. The photographer has been most careful not to reveal where he found it, for fear some idjit will decide he wants the hide to tack on a wall. At the moment, the city has passed an ordinance making it an illegal target.

Hey, MMario,
My pal, Pete Benson meant the other White Bear at Masham in North Yorkshire ( it was next to the Theakston's brewery )and had cable oblivion piped direct.
I'm sure the Rickmansworth one does good beer 'n' music too.

I suspected as much - but being an "ignorant American" couldn't resist throwing out that line...

BTW - if you should see Pete Benson - would you ask if he would be willing to send and or post the music for 'Grandd Pubs of Yorkshire'?

You did your back in, so how are you? We are all concerned.I'll help with exercises!
Graeme Knights came and we had some great singing and Tim with his fiddle -ever seen a fiddle-player break a string?- we did.
mick on bodran, dave on voice plus another Tim, then Jerry representing the emerald ones - ride on, stealaway, and some listeners who said how much they enjoyed it.
Yes it was O K.
George missed you but I explained why at Hergs.

Hi, Jonno: and happy new year. I really had hoped to be there.

I've just put in 2nd February in my diary. Well, that's not quite true: I turned to the page and there was a 2nd February already there. So I wrote "White Bear" next to it. You have been warned!

p.s. pots and kettles error: Black Cat this Thursday, 9th January.
