Subject: RE: Warwick festival 2008 From: skipy Date: 17 Jul 08 - 07:59 PM This will be our 24th without missing one, sadly I attend these days as a matter of course & now sit outside the venues instead of going in. I NEVER smoked in any of the venues before the ban, but know that I am not welcome in them now because of the ban. So I just turn up & spend my time outside, I also do that at mt own festival, very strange feeling running a festival & not seeing any of the artists on stage. Such is life. Skipy |

Subject: RE: Warwick festival 2008 From: GUEST,Joe G Date: 21 Jul 08 - 03:45 PM I used to go regularly and thought about it this years as it is best line up for a while I think. If anyone is going for the first time its a great festival and pretty comfortable once you get your tent pegs in the ground - mind you after the flooding last year maybe the ground is a bit softer! Have a great time |
Subject: RE: Warwick festival 2008 From: Pistachio Date: 21 Jul 08 - 06:11 PM Miss Lemon, the most refreshing stall - You'll be missed. Prior preparation and planning prevents P... poor performance = 7 x P!! Problem is properly packing the precise pieces for the party...and pitching in a place where the precipitation will not persist!! I'll get me boat' Check Saddleworth/Paddleworth thread for (8 pints) photo of where not pitch a tepee! I'll be back in the Van Galen van again!! Lucky me. See you very soon. I'll be driving down on Friday with Carol who's never been to Warwick before! H.x |
Subject: RE: Warwick festival 2008 From: Folkiedave Date: 21 Jul 08 - 06:34 PM Two years ago there was great weather - but it ended in tragedy because there was a huge electric thunderstorm and that ended in a couple of deaths as I remember. But of course two years ago the ground was dry and it just soaked it up. Last year the ground was wet to start with. No previously cherished second hand books this year - sorry. |
Subject: RE: Warwick festival 2008 From: r.padgett Date: 22 Jul 08 - 03:37 PM Looks as though the weather will be good this year Dave Ray |

Subject: RE: Warwick festival 2008 From: Tangledwood Date: 28 Jul 08 - 02:46 AM What a great weekend that was! All performers were top quality, the organisation was a credit to everybody concerned and even the weather was perfect, though apparently a bit warm for the locals. |
Subject: RE: Warwick festival 2008 From: treewind Date: 28 Jul 08 - 06:35 AM It was a bit warm for those of us who were dancing in the streets too. Pig Dyke Molly in my case, and I was hot enough just playing the music, never mind actually dancing! Anahata |
