Subject: RE: BS: How about some good news for a change? From: Kim C Date: 14 Nov 00 - 01:12 PM Great! Splendid! Mahvelous! I forgot to mention, I finally found a pair of black trousers that FIT. I thought I had a pretty normal body but apparently not, as finding things that actually FIT is a nail-biting experience. But they came from Land's End yesterday, and they FIT!!!! THEY FIT!!!! Now I can send back the others that don't. :) |

Subject: RE: BS: How about some good news for a change? From: GUEST,Bob S Date: 14 Nov 00 - 04:15 PM Wesley S. Been joined up. Just to lazy to reset my cookie. Everytime I purge the file this one goes too. Lakeland is midway between Tampa & Orlando off I4.
Funny stuff. Keep getting phone solicitations asking if I want a free trip to Orlando. Sure I do.
Bob S (who promises to reset his cookie someday) |
Subject: RE: BS: How about some good news for a change? From: Wesley S Date: 14 Nov 00 - 04:57 PM I remember Lakeland. I saw Robert Palmer and Gary Wright there back when they were having hit records. I grew up in Largo on the coast but I've been in Texas since '79. PS - How many holes did you punch back on the 7th? Fess up. |

Subject: RE: BS: How about some good news for a change? From: Morticia Date: 15 Nov 00 - 04:50 PM Well, I've made some work decisions in the last couple of days, with the love and support from my friends here, that are going to make a big difference to my life, my attitude and my health.I happen to have the greatest man in the world seem to believe I'm the greatest woman ( poor deluded fool that he is!), I have the most, wonderful, intelligent and beautiful daughter flying joyously, with the wings I helped her make,we have a good house, enough to eat and we are young ( relatively), healthy ( comparatively) and ALIVE!! |
Subject: RE: BS: How about some good news for a change? From: Kim C Date: 15 Nov 00 - 04:59 PM Snogs to you, Morty. :) |
Subject: RE: BS: How about some good news for a change? From: Catrin Date: 15 Nov 00 - 05:51 PM Way hay Morty! Really pleased for you! Catrin Bathing in the warmth from this thread... |

Subject: RE: BS: How about some good news for a change? From: Greyeyes Date: 15 Nov 00 - 06:49 PM How sickening! I, on the other hand, hate my job, am losing my hair, running to fat, have no female companion and don't own my own home. Oh bugger. I'm in the wrong thread. I thought this was the miserable one. |
Subject: RE: BS: How about some good news for a change? From: CarolC Date: 15 Nov 00 - 09:10 PM Greyeyes, you're just using the sympathy ploy to try to attract chicks, aren't you? ;-) |
Subject: RE: BS: How about some good news for a change? From: Little Hawk Date: 15 Nov 00 - 09:18 PM My good news is...Hesperis and I have been having a great visit in New York State, saw beautiful Ithaca, saw some really neat drums and exotic instruments, and got to meet fellow Mudcatters, and I didn't hit either one of those 2 deer on the drive home last night. - LH |
Subject: RE: BS: How about some good news for a change? From: GUEST,Roger the skiffler Date: 16 Nov 00 - 06:06 AM Like Greyeyes, the job, hair, weight, bifocals things are minuses but in my case outweighed by the pluses: wife still with me after 30 years (if we get to Dec 19th!), house now paid for, books and records all around, friends who still tolerate me, my own teeth (less a couple of gaps)and remarkably good health given my enjoyment of food and drink and sedentary occupation. And Mudcat to sound off on, to offload old jokes on and to help me make it through the working day. Beats Phyllosan! RtS |
Subject: RE: BS: How about some good news for a change? From: Kim C Date: 16 Nov 00 - 10:46 AM And I today had an e-mail from a VERY long-lost friend. You know what, Greyeyes? I don't own my home either but I rent a pretty cool one. Mister is losing his hair and has bifocals but so what. And we gals aren't always all we're cracked up to be! ;) |
Subject: RE: BS: How about some good news for a change? From: Greyeyes Date: 16 Nov 00 - 01:16 PM CarolC, am I so transparent? It was worth a try. |
Subject: RE: BS: How about some good news for a change? From: MMario Date: 16 Nov 00 - 01:23 PM shorty just had an episode, but it was short, quickly corrected, and I didn't even have time to climb the walls. |
Subject: RE: BS: How about some good news for a change? From: Kim C Date: 16 Nov 00 - 01:42 PM Who's shorty? ;) |
Subject: RE: BS: How about some good news for a change? From: Morticia Date: 16 Nov 00 - 07:26 PM Shorty is the somewhat tempramental thingie what delivers our words of wisdom (sic) to the great internet God.He has brothers....Ragtime and Loki, who can be equally feisty. Max manages them with a whip and a chair and feeds them beer and pizza. |
Subject: RE: BS: How about some good news for a change? From: Amos Date: 17 Nov 00 - 12:36 AM I think we may have found the problem, MMario. The pizza probably fits nicely into the CD drive after Max trims the crust off it. But the beer drives shorty crazy! |
Subject: RE: BS: How about some good news for a change? From: Kim C Date: 17 Nov 00 - 10:09 AM Is that what you call a shorty-circuit? It is a lovely day today in Nashville and I have got my leather jacket out for the first time this season. Yee-haw! :) |
